BLOB 4 Across Cross
01/23/2014This BLOB works well versus a zone defense. 2 and 5 occupy the wing defenders. 3 and 4 create a two on one situation in the lane. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis stack play takes advantage of an athletic center/forward against a zone defense. If zone takes lob away, can get a 3pt shot as well. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawUp 11 with 1:20 left there were 8 seconds left on the shot clock. The Spurs ran this middle ball screen in their game vs. Memphis. The pin down on the strong side keeps the defense occupied. A hard hedge in the middle of the floor opens up the corner 3 because x3 has to pull in to help on 5's roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a nice play run by Thad Boyle and the Buffs of Colorado The Buffs have a very talented PG in Spencer Dinwiddie who with his size and athletic ability can really breakdown a defense The use of the UCLA screen to set-up the double stagger is well executed and what makes this play well designed is the end when no shot is available, as it runs right into a SPNR with an open floor for Dinwiddie to breakdown the defense or read and make the kick-out pass See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play run by the Illini in their game against Indiana caught the defense completely off guard as even Dan Dakich from ESPN predicted they should throw the ball inside to Egwu The Illini use a great ball reversal off a pin down screen to get a solid backscreen set on x3 taking him out of the play as Bertrand cuts to the ring and makes a spectacular reverse dunk on x1 Ferrell who was late in help and caught between his man and the cutting Bertrand See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Rhody play is one of my favorites as it incorporates a ton of movement to put the defense in compromising positions. In Frame 2, as 3 starts attacking the rim, the triple stagger will occupy most (if not all) of the weak side defense as they become concerned with guarding the stagger screen. If 3 cannot get to the rim, look to throwback to 2, or 4/5 slipping to the rim after setting their screens. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAltough this play is not overly complex, the ability to read defenses and use screens allows McDermott to catch the ball in the paint moving to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a nice action run by the Indiana Hoosiers from their overtime thriller against the Fighting Illni on New Years Eve This play has a litlte bit of everything in it from a hard elbow cut for a possible quick hit lay-up to a diagonal back screen looking to spring the post for a wing entry pass The play ends with a good drag screen action leaving open space for the PG to either drive the lane or read the defense and pick his best option A well designed play by Tom Crean for his young Hoosiers led by outstanding PG Yogi Ferrell who has taken his game to the next level this year!! Favorite Send to FastDrawColorado under Head Coach Thad Boyle have gone 79-39 over the last three years. Boyle is now in his 4th season. The Buffs are now up to number 20 in the latest poll before the start of Conference Season against Oregon State. This is a nice play out of their Ball Screen Motion as coming off the SPNR, the wing reads the defense running into the lane to set a cross screen freeing up the post for a pass down low from the top. Spencer Dinwiddie and Askia Booker are two exciting high profile players to watch this year in PAC 12 play for Colorado!! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMark Turgeon is in his 3rd season with the Terps and led them to a 25 win season last year and an appearance in the NIT Semi-Finals This is a nice play which gives the shooter the option to read the defense and take advantage of what is given With Dez Wells, the Terps have an experienced player handling the ball with the ability to set-up the play as Coach Turgeon needs Layman is a lights out 3 pt shooter and in this play, he reads the defense jumping off the screen, quickly reacting, he cuts backdoor for a possible quick hit pass Wells makes the play work by coming back, receiving the hand-off and hitting the former Michigan State big man Smotrycz for an open 3 See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another drill that I got from watching Bellarmine University practice last week. This is a great drill because it not only works on scramble situations having 4 players defend 5 in the half-court, but it also forces the offense (new defense) to sprint back after change of possession to prevent any easy lay-ups. After making your one transition stop after a made shot or the defense secures the rebound and repeat the drill the other way. Make sure you switch the offense and defensive teams who must scramble each time and rotate the players that are back. Do this drill for time or until a team reaches a pre-set point total. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMillersville WBB ran this set against West Chester WBB earlier this season. If defense is in zone, #23 finds gap as wing defenders split to defend corner shooters. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boise State Bronocs have beomce a well known team since Leon Rice arrived from Gonzaga. Since his arrival, the Broncos have established a dominant home court advantage, played near the top of the Mountain West Conference, and had their first at large selction to the NCAA Tournament. This is a nice post entry set run off a shallow dribble entry guard-to-guard out top. The FT line screen at the end can lead to a 3 pt shot or if the defense jumps the screen a slip action for the screener or a kick-out to either the corner or wing for an open shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great drill to get your players to box out on defense and crash and avoid box outs on offense. Too many rebounding drills benefit the taller players and don't truly reward players for boxing out or getting around box outs, so this drill is perfect to reward pursuit effort. See More
