Great set play for a scoring perimeter shooter. Action starts with dribble to wing by 1 as 2 and 3 re-locate. 3 catches high as 1 and 2 swing wings. 3 dribbles to left wing to set up 4-5 squeeze screen for 2 for jump shot. See More

Basketball Play - Loop Elevator

Loop Elevator

Adam Spinella 07/26/2013

This play was taken from Mark Jackson and the Golden State Warriors. With the three elite three-point shooters that the Warriors had, Jackson would use this play to free one of them up at a time, bringing them off an elevator screen to the top of the key. The set does a good job disguising which player will be the shooter. See More

This play is a good scoring option for your best scorer, 2. 1 dribbles out to the wing to push 2 to the middle of the lane. 3 fills and receives reversal pass from 1. 2 has a choice of cutting out the single or double side to catch and score. Post Option - if 2 comes out the single side, 5 posts on right side. 4 can cut to high post to eliminate weak side help. Give it a try! See More

Basketball Play - Same

Same

John Leonzo 04/19/2013

Here is a play that Mike D'Antoni ran often when he was with the suns. This play gives you a a good look at the 3, as well as some options to get the ball inside off of a ball reversal and a screen and roll. In addition to those options, this play provides great spacing for you to play out of if things break down. See More

Basketball Play - Albany-sts

Albany-sts

Kyle Brown 04/25/2013

A great set that Albany ran in the conference tournament. This set has a lot of different ways to score as you progress through the set. If you wanted your 1 man to be the man to make the decision on the last pick & roll then you can just have him hit the 3 and then clear out to the weak side corner. See More

Basketball Play - High Post Iso - 34-4

High Post Iso - 34-4

Bert DeSalvo 12/11/2012

At Clarion University WBB, we have an All-American caliber type of player, sophomore, Hannah Heeter. During her freshman year, she was the only freshman in Division I or Division II Women's Basketball to average a double-double. Considering her talents, I wanted to develop multiple quick hitters to allow Heeter to be the dynamic player/playmaker that she is. See More

Basketball Play - Pacer 1-4 High Set

Pacer 1-4 High Set

Kevin Bruinsma 06/13/2013

This is a set the Indiana Pacers ran against the Miami Heat in the 2013 Eastern Conference Finals. Looking to get their marquee player, Paul George a isolated post/wing catch the Pacers sent #24 George to the opposite side of the court before coming back hard to the ball on the reversal for deep post position. If #24 George couldn't catch the ball deep he moved out to the mid-wing area for a catch. This is where Indiana ran a great alternative action to get an even deeper post touch. #50 Tyler Hansbrough after entering the ball to George comes down the lane and sets a screen for #55 Roy Hibbert right in the middle of the lane, who now gets a deep post catch right in the middle of the paint. Basketball Play - 15 Again

15 Again

Kyle Gilreath 03/14/2013

I have been waiting for two years to get a chance to check out Larry Shyatt's Wyoming Cowboys squad. Last night it took some searching on my cable box but I finally found their game versus the Lobos of New Mexico. The Cowboys fought hard all game to attempt an upset but the Lobos were just too much. New Mexico ran this nice half-court action very well to get an easy bucket down low with a throwback to 5. See More

Basketball Play - Secondary Staggers

Secondary Staggers

Dana Beszczynski 02/09/2014

Santa Clara plays in the WCC and Head Coach Kerry Keating has done a good job of revitalizing Broncos basketball. They achieved 24+ wins for the second time in 3 years in 2012-13. In their WCC match-up with BYU on Thursday night, they ran this Secondary Action which incorporates the use of a double staggered screen & the shuffle screen. There is a lot of player and ball movement in this set forcing the defense to react quickly. Taking advantage of the long hedge at the end of this play, the Bronocs were able to jump out to an early lead on the 3 pt play. See More

Basketball Play - Late clock BOB

Late clock BOB

Jeff Dow 02/11/2014

This was late shotclock BLOB play the Trailblazers ran vs. the Thunder in their January 21, 2014 game. The Blazers take advantage of Batum's length and passing skills as the in-bounder and also the reluctance of the Thunder to switch any of the screens to get a lay-up for Lilliard. See More
