Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a transition action sequencing a down hill hand off followed by a down screen by a post player. This is an easy way to try to create an advantage out of transition Visit my Sellfy store for detailed coaching materials written by me - https://sellfy.com/coachhack.go/ Follow me on Twitter - @CoachHackGO Find me on all my platforms - Linktree See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a break down drill for transition offense. This drill focuses on the habits of a 4 Out break, with a rim runner and point guard-led sideline break. This wasn't the primary transition offense drill we used when we ran this fast break system, but we mixed it in every once and a while. Favorite Send to FastDrawRuben Magnano, former head coach at Atenas Cordoba, runs a series of flex transition offense with two players on the same side wing looking to create an overload situation in early offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a designed transition flow to create confusion for the defense, and a gap to attack for the offense. I love how quick and smoothe the offense gets into the action. It's easy to see defenses miscommunicating this action. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of transition. I like the dribble entry right into exploring the action from transition. Most teams rely on the wing entry so much, so eliminating that step here and there can help the offense run more smooth. Favorite Send to FastDrawBLOG & PLAYBOOK - Chino Hills Huskies: The Scheme Behind the Ball Brothers In this embedded video and diagram we look at the transition system of the 35-0, state championship Chino Hills team of 2015-16. The Chino Hills transition offense was the main feature of its system. The Huskies played as fast as anyone I've ever seen at the high school level. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe 21 series is usually a 3-player action that happens right out of transition. The bunch action makes the options easy to disguise, almost like play action fakes in football. There are a variety of actions that can come from this series, and they all develop quickly, making them ideal for teams that want to play with a fast tempo. Not all the diagrams are represented with clips in the video below, but this was all I could dig up on film. Favorite Send to FastDrawOur semi-structured break off opponent misses has become one of the calling cards of our program. Through drilling, we've trained the players to rebound, pivot their shoulders up the court and make outlet passes leading to advantage situations for our team. As an undersized team, we view this as a defense against teams crashing the offensive boards hard.
