Basketball Play - Side Ball Screen Shooting Drill

Side Ball Screen Shooting Drill

Zachary Weir 05/12/2022

Great ball screen shooting drill utilizing a shooting machine. Several different variations of shots, passes, and moves can be used to get great reps using a side ball screen. Add time and score for a competitive, conditioning aspect to this drill. A defender can also be added on the ball handler, screener or both to add a decision making element to this drill. Some examples of progressions/skills to rep: - hook pass - pocket pass - reverse pivot and pass and more - ball handler can use a live dribble or a move out of his/her pivot Defender/Decion making progression : - both defeners trap - ballhandlers defener goes under - Hard Hedge by the screeners defender See More

Rutgers puts the defense in a tough position with this side PnR set. This set is a great way to confuse a defense on who is tagging the roller. Great movement with consecutive multiple options. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More

Michigan uses this set, designed out of a Pistol Set, to force the defense into guarding quick multiple actions. Michigan forces the defense into giving up a post iso by utilizing the versatile skillset of Teske and a flare screen on the backside. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More

Ohio State Buckeyes - PNP Swing Post

Ohio State used this simple set to get EJ Lidell a post iso touch. Lidell posted an excellent PPP of 1.096 on Post ups during the 19-20 season. This set is simple yet very effective if you have a player that is effective playing with his back to the basket. The counters and options, such as split cuts, are endless. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More

UCLA Bruins - Iverson Wiper

UCLA runs a nice quick hitting misdirection set to get one their best offensive players a shot. They use an Iverson cut by the point guard followed by a quick drive and a wiper screen by the big with Kyman coming back to the ball. Jake Kyman produced a 1.07 PPP which was the leader on his team in the 19-20 season, which put him in the 93% percentile overall according to Synergy. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More

Florida State Seminoles - Drag Back SPNR

Florida State runs a nice multiple action set into a SPNR. The multiple actions confuse the defense which results in a wide open look for Wyatt Wilkes, who produced a 1.364 PPP last season on spot up situations. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
