Basketball Play - Pacer Zipper Slip

Pacer Zipper Slip

Kevin Bruinsma 06/15/2013

The Indiana Pacers love the zipper action to free up #24 Paul George here after he catches the ball #55 Roy Hibbert comes to set the ball screen. They run multiple actions and ball screen spacing out of this zipper set. Here Indiana throws a different look at the Miami Heat and #55 Hibbert slips the screen right to the rim. See More

Basketball Play - Bulls EOH BLOB Slip

Bulls EOH BLOB Slip

Daniel Murphy 05/16/2013

The Bulls ran this baseline out of bounds play with two seconds left in the first half of their 99-93 game 7 win over Brooklyn. The timing is important on this play. Have 4 set the back screen, then 5 set a backscreen as 4 is pinning down. Boozers man did not protect the basket and Boozer cut to the basket for a dunk. See More

Basketball Play - Shuffle Slip

Shuffle Slip

John Leonzo 05/14/2013

Here is a set that was run often by the Wichita State Shockers throughout the past season. This quick hitter gives you the option of 1 attacking off the ball screen, 4 cutting to the basket, 3 for a jumper, or 5 posting up on the block. This play is effective for getting a post up because of the misdirection that takes place off the ball screen. As 1 attacks off the ball screen and 4 cuts hard of the back screen from 5, the defense will anticipate the play coming to the strong side. As 3 pops and 5 slips to post up, the ball can be thrown back to 3 and 5 can effectively post up for a quality look at the basket. See More

Basketball Play - 1 high Slip into roll/replace

1 high Slip into roll/replace

Kyle Brown 03/07/2013

An action I saw a lot this past weekend. Slipping the 4 man (Someone who is a good shooter) and then he becomes the replace guy on the big roll is a tough action for the defense to guard because it forces the guy guarding 5 to really defend the ball screen well. Marquette ran this action and slipped the 5 man for a layup. See More

Basketball Play - 10-11 Houston Rockets - Hand Off with High Post Entry with Pin Down & Slip

10-11 Houston Rockets - Hand Off with High Post Entry with Pin Down & Slip

Basketball HQ 03/04/2013

With this play you have to make sure that you lift your 3 man up towards the top of the key to clear out the paint, and take his defender out of help side position. Your 2 has to really sell that he is setting a pin down for 1 and then dive hard to the basket. Your 5 man has to be a capable of making the read on the slip and throwing a good pass to 2 for a lay up. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. See More

Basketball Play - "Horns" - Ball Screen Slip

"Horns" - Ball Screen Slip

Luke Riegel 12/01/2012

This is a set that is effective if you have one or two good interior post players. The initial High/Low action is good early offense that you may be able to take advantage of before you even get to the ballscreen-slip. Then you have the opportunity to hit your 5 man slipping to the rim or hitting your 4 man spacing on the perimeter. You will have opportunities for high percentage shots regardless of which movement you take advantage of. See More

Basketball Play - Play of the Day 01-01-2012: Slip Roll

Play of the Day 01-01-2012: Slip Roll

FastModel Sports 01/01/2012

1 passes to 4 then cuts to opposite corner off back-screen set by 5. After screening, 5 steps to ball for catch as 2 sets defender up for back-door cut. If 2 doesn't have back-door catch, 4 plays fake hand-off with 5 and then sets down-screen for 2. The read is for 4 to slip and catch quick bounce pass from 5 for lay-up as X4 is probably trailing and ready to show on downscreen for 2. 1 flares for 3 weakside to help keep defense honest.
