Favorite Send to FastDrawLas Vegas runs a beautiful Horns set which allows plenty of options for their dynamic scorers to get the ball where they want it the most. Early in the season, Vegas ran this and utilized the Flex action well. As teams started scouting, they went to the secondary action which is to reject the initial Flex screen from the cutting passer, and instead use the double stagger. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play, a staple of the San Antonio Spurs offense for years, has become a pet-play of Nick Nurse’s to start the game or half. Put into the Raptors playbook in the middle of the season, this play is used for Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam, and Marc Gasol to get a post touch. The first option is for a post-up to score, but the second option/counter involves a kickout pass to leverage aggressive off-ball defense against itself. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a sample of the Texas Tech true motion offense. This is not a set play but a picture of the sequences of actions you will have to guard when facing them. In one possession you have to guard: a drag screen, flare screen, slipped step-up screen, a pick & pop, and one last flare screen by the 5 to empty the paint. The spacing struggles at times but they force you into uncommon situations and actions that it presents the opportunity for miscommunication and scoring opportunities. Favorite Send to FastDrawKansas State ran this play early in their first round game against UC Irvine to get the ball back to their point guard to make a play. 4 makes the Iverson cut over 3 & 5.. This puts 4 in the corner and sets him up for the next cut to the basket. It also puts the ball in 3's hands so he can make the decision with the ball. Once 3 gets the ball, 4 cuts to the basket off the flex screen from 1. 1 then cuts off the pindowns screen from 5 to receive the pass from 3 for the shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA very effective quick hitter when you need a easy two. " Punch " is an action when the ball is entered into the post, which is very effective when you have a big who is a strong passer. In this action the ball is entered into the post and SDSU follows that with a back screen. How to Maximze March Madness with FastModel Sports! See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an after time out (ATO) play primarily used by Head Coach Nick Nurse and the Toronto Raptors to get Kyle Lowry a pull-up 3-pointer. By keeping the defense honest with the occassional solid cross screen and flex cut, Lowry's defender is forced to trail him as he approaches the "uphill" DHO to make this an effective set play. Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother staple of Tennessee's offense is the combination of down screens followed by flex screens on the weak side. Once again, with Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield as screeners, it makes it extremley difficult for defenders to get through. A key to this specific action is 3 must set up his defender by getting below the level of the screen and then sprinting off of the screener shoulder to shoulder. Favorite Send to FastDrawA creative flex action used by Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey. This play starts in a low double stack. This action is difficult to guard because x1 will tend to relax once he gets through the false back screen. As 1 comes off the back screen, he is immeditatley setting a flex screen for 2. This limits the time that x1 has to see the action develop. More: Shooting Drills that Enhance Your Flex Offense See More
