Favorite Send to FastDrawMotion play that creates a guard post up early and another post up for the big man later on. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMichigan ran this triangle set often during NCAA Tournament, particularly early in games. The motion creates a lot of movement, and ends with the ball in your best player's hands. The ball screen typically involved Stauskas (2) and Morgan (5). Because of the attention Stauskas gets, it often resulted in an open lane for Morgan to slip, because of the spacing it is difficult for the defense to leave good shooters. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawViriginia ran this quick hitter in the ACC Championship game against Duke on Sunday. Virginia runs this set looking to get one of their guards a backdoor cut at the basket. UVA does a great job in their motion offense staying patient and looking for great shot on each possession. Their patience and hard cuts will leave the defense suseptible to backdoor cuts. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawASU ran this option out of S.A. weak motion to get a lob for Gordon vs. UCLA. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a diagram of a play that Colorado ran as a set play against Harvard in their game on November 24. The play can result in a three-point shot or a post feed. The play also helps Colorado transition into their half court motion offense if they do not score off of the set play. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Florida Gators are playing shorthanded right now, but once their line-up is complete, they will be a very exciting team to watch. Head Coach Billy Donovan has a wealth of experience and the way he runs his half court sets demonstrates this. Here is "America's play", a simple Horns action with a STS action at the end setting up either post entry or a possible jump shot. From here, the Gators go right into their Ball Screen Motion which they do a great job of executing. This play was taken from the Gators game against the Wisconsin Badgers during ESPN's 24 hour marathon. See More

This entry can result in entering into a four-around-one offense (i.e. flex or four-around-one motion). Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's Play of the Day is a transition option from Fred Hoiberg and the Iowa State Cyclones for a stretch shooting big man. Hoiberg ran this set coming out of transition for his forward Georges Niang, particularly against Kansas and Jef Withey, who was exceptionally poor at defending on the perimeter. This action fits well into Hoiberg's overall motion offense, which is strongly perimeter-based. His general pattern of offense has been dubbed basketball's version of the "Spread Offense". See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawToo often, 1-4 High offenses neglect post players because they're designed to accentuate the perimeter scorers - getting baskets for your post men is just as important, if not more important, when your normal motion sets don't accentuate it. Trickle is a play designed to get one of the post players a quick opportunity for a layup or post move. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSet run by the Spurs at the 9:22 mark of Q3 in their game 5 win over the Heat. The first frame is motion to get into the elbow set. The dribble hand off and roll by Duncan pulls the defense in to protect the rim allowing Green space for the open 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is another set that was run by Utah State during the 2010 season. This is a great quick hitter to get a quality look at the basket before getting into your motion offense. I would reccomend this set to anyone that is looking for a quick hitter that is hard to defend. See More
