Favorite Send to FastDrawPoint guard dribbles towards right elbow and immediately changes direction and dribbles to left wing. 5 goes off of 4's screen at the FT line while 2 goes off of 3's baseline screen. The false motion of the 5 and 2 creates a "pipe" big/little screen in the middle of the floor. If teams switch the screen, the post reverse pivots and seals the guard and we look to immediately enter the ball into the post. Option 2 is to go hi-low with the 3 throwing the ball high low to the 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Golden State Warriors ran this ATO in the second quarter of Game 4 of the NBA Finals to get a look for Klay Thompson (2). This play starts with some false motion to get 2 into a situation where he can read his defender coming off of a screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe TAKE Concept is common in International basketball. In essesence the player passing to the big man (1 as shown) is "giving to get." He/she is passing then using acceleration to "take" the ball back from 5. The acceleration can lead to a small advantage. 5 may make one dribble, but often they step to the catch and simply "plate" the ball by holding it out to side with palm up. 1 and 5 read whether X1 trails or goes under as the ball is being taken. If the defense goes under and there is no small advantage for 1, 5 twists into a ball screen. As shown this serves as a bit of false motion into Spread Ball Screen offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGregg Popovich dribble weave set. While it can change based on personnel and spots, the objective is to get an action similar to their Motion Weak offense out of a dribble handoff set. They push one player backdoor and raise another, hoping their defenders run into each other. There is also an easy counter to cut backdoor if the defense snuffs it out and denies the pass. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set to utilize some false motion prior to a high pick and roll. This play was run by Kentucky in the 2017 NCAA tournament. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA part of Michigan's motion offense, if the wide pindown is covered and the big opening is not open they default into this action. This is triggered by the point guard looking back to the wing where the pass came from and he dives backdoor. The corner fills and then looks to drive into the middle of the lane and the point guard cuts off the big setting a flare screen for a shot. 3 in the corner/opposite block must clear to the opposite side to prevent any help. Favorite Send to FastDrawSaint Mary's ran this quick hitter action late in their game against Arizona immediately after an OOB Play. They use the Iverson cut as false motion to set up the double screen for a look at 5 in the post. 4 then sets the down screen for 2 for the 3 point option. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawToday’s basketball offense breakdown comes from the 2 Out 3 In Motion Offense. Iowa State used the concepts once used by Steve Alford when he was at New Mexico. The 2 Out 3 In motion offense is very unique, which allows the post area to become open for isolation plays and opens up dribble penetration and backdoor cut plays. Iowa State made this key adjustment in the first half against Nevada when they struggled to get much out of their ball screen sets. See More
