Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a great read out of the timeout by Tony Bennett and Malcolm Brogdon. He anticipated the defender going on top of the flex screen instead of under and used the screen instead to get an open three-pointer. This is yet another set to get an easy look for your players off of a read. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawArizona State has a line-up which can be used in many different sets. Here the Sun Devils are looking to post-up Atwood a 6'7 forward coming off the flex screen from the 6'10 Jacobsen who moves like a wing player. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 passes to 5 flashing to the elbow then screens down for 4. Once 4 has the ball, 1 sets a flex-screen for 3 and 5 screens down for 1. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an excellent play designed by Purdue Coach Matt Painter out of a Box Set. Purdue runs a pass entry into a UCLA screening action. With the opposite big popping to the TOK, the PG sets a shuffle cut and runs into a double stagger. On the pass to the TOK, the wing then runs baseline off a triple screen to the opposite side looking to make the defense chase. At the end, Purdue runs a "hamer screen" action off a guard-to-guard exchange and as a last option a SPNR into a shot behind the SPNR See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night the Cavaliers were taken to the limit against the Golden Bears of Cal. Tony Bennett designed three consecutive timeout plays each of which yielded a basket. This is the first of those timeout plays. Run from the SLOB situation, the play is set-up by the elbow screen action which gave Brogdon a chance to either "read" and cut to the basket or come back off the "re-screen" action for a possible jumper. Tony Bennett is known for his defensive strategies, but last night these timeout actions he ran with his Cavs only showed what a true mastermind of the game he is. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTERMINOLOGY OF SPOTS IN THE OFFENSE Set the down screen WIDE off of the lane line to open up the 3 types of cuts. If the screen is set too close to the lane there is no spacing for reading screens. READ THE SCREEN Always look to read the down screen in our 4 MAN FLEX. This time the defender, X2 plays under the screen and the 2 man reads the screen and POPS OUT to continue the play. After EVERY down screen, the screener should open up to the ball for the post up. READ THE SCREEN Always look to read the down screen in our 4 MAN FLEX. This time the defender, X2 plays tight to the offensive player and the cutter CURLS TIGHT to the rim. The screener must change his angle for the screen. After EVERY down screen, the screener should open up to the ball for the post up. READ THE SCREEN Always look to read the down screen in our 4 MAN FLEX. This time the defender, X2 anticipates the down screen and plays in the lane. The 2 FADE CUTS to the corner for the shot. The screener must change his angle for the screen. After EVERY down screen, the screener should open up to the ball for the post up. See More

The Cavaliers held a 95-92 lead prior to running this set, and the back door lay-up with LeBron James passing to Kevin Love gave them a five point cushion with less than half a minute left in the game.
