Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was the late game BOB play Coach Holtman used to guide Butler to what many perceived as an upset of the Indiana Hoosiers last Saturday night. But, the Bulldogs are no stranger to knocking off big time programs. This perfectly designed BOB situation uses the decoy screen for the 5 man who comes across the lane clearing the defense out and the 4 man uses good timing to move towards 3 before slipping hard catching the Indiana defender looking at the 3 man. 1 makes the perfect pass for the dunk in the lane and a big play for the Butler Bulldogs in their knocking off the Indiana Hoosiers! Favorite Send to FastDrawNorth Carolina ran this simple Box Set Elevator play against Tennessee the other night. The cross screen in the paint sets up the screener to run through the gate screen at the FT line. As the shooter is ready to come through the gate, the inside screener slips to the basket and receives a perfectly timed pass in the lane for the easy dunk. A great call and adjustment off the Tar Heels regular set play! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSFA went into yesterday's ESPN Marathon having won 28 consecutive games at home. Their last loss came against Northern Iowa in the 2014 ESPN Marathon. Kyle Keller inherited an SFA Team rich in tradition and NCAA appearances the last years. Keller comes to the Lumberjacks after having served as an Assistant at Texas A & M for Billy Kennedy. In yesterday's match-up against Big South opponent Longwood, they found themselves in a tight match all the way down the stretch. TJ Holiday had it going for the Jacks though and this little Box Set was designed to get him a look at the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Orlando Magic ran this isolation play with the score tied and 10 seconds left in their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. 2 makes an Iverson cut across the screens from 4 & 5. This cut is a decoy designed to draw attention from the defense. It is very effective when this is done with one of your primary scorers. 5 then screens for 4, resulting in an isolation where 4 can go 1 on 1 attacking the basket with his dominant hand. In this play x5 had to make a switch onto 4 which can also cause mismatch situations. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawInteresting wrinkle... Looks as if the action with get in to STS (Little-Big Cross Screen, Big-Little Down Screen) except Jimmy Butler guarding Avery Bradley (2) cheats the screen... Avery comes off of the same side and is wide open... See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics have ran this play a few times during the first few games of the season. If 2 uses the cross screen from 1, 1 comes off the pin-down from 4 - becoming STS action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe play below is an example of a set that the Suns are running to get their third year center Alex Len an easy jump shot. Bledsoe brought the ball up the court and passed to TJ Warren and made a thru cut to the opposite wing. As Bledsoe cut thru the lane, Booker crossed paths with him on his way to set a screen for Len on the block, the ball is swung from Warren to Chriss and then to Bledsoe. As soon as Chriss made the pass he ran down to set a pin down screen to get Len open at the free throw line. The play was executed flawlessly and Len nailed the jumper. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe New York Knicks ran this as their opening play in their preseason game against the Houston Rockets. The Knicks used the pinch post action that is common to the triangle offense. They followed with a dribble handoff to get the ball back in 1's hands. 2 then set a cross screen for 5 (Porzingas) to get the ball into the post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Goldens State Warriors ran this play during the third quarter of their preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The screen the screener action gave them opportunites for a postup for 4 and a look at a 3 point shot up top for 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith the Boston Celtics trailing by 3 points with 12.3 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter in their pre-season game versus the Philadelphia 76ers, Brad Stevens ran this set to create an open 3-point shot for James Young. However, Timothe Luwawu-Cabaroot does an excellent job of anticipating and getting over the flare screen to prevent the shot. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCrean uses a variety of down screen / cross screen actions to make the defense move. This play also uses up quite a bit of time. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGood spacing and movement before a screening action are essential in post isolation opportunities. On this set, Nikola Vucevic comes off two cross screens to get him open for a post isolation opportunity. Nice action drawn up by old Magic coach Jacque Vaughn. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Flex Offense is a patterned offense run at all levels of basketball. The offense is initiated with a ball reversal, a "flex cut" and screen the screener action. There are unlimited options out of this offense for quick hitters and counters. See More
