Ducks SLOB Stagger/Post Action
03/19/2014The Oregon Ducks ran this set play directly from a SLOB situation. They use the baseline cut to set-up the roll out of the ball screen as the weak side help is eliminated. If 5 is not open, 3 is coming off the baseline double stagger screen looking to catch & shoot on the wing. Furthermore, it can get 3 great looks at any point in the game based on what you are looking for with regards to situation and score. 03/13/2014If you are in need of a three point play with the ball out of bounds, this is a great action to run for your shooter. 2 must do a great job selling the play by setting up his man before sprinting off the baseline screens. If the defense scrambles and overhelps on 2, look opposite as 1 may get open at the end. See More

Arizona Transition Stagger
03/08/2014The Wildcats have a number of sets which they run very effectively to get open shots for their players in spots on the floor where they can do the most damage. This is an easy play to install at any level whereby the use of the double stagger screening action free's up either your 1 or 2 man for an open shot or gives you the opportunity to dump the ball into your 5 man. Coach Calipari does a great job with this action occupying the weak side defense with a double (stagger) action. 2 had the option of using the pick & roll (with Anthony Davis rolling), or he could turn down the screen because X1 and X4 consumed with the weak side action.
