Favorite Send to FastDrawThis 1-4 High set was used by the Miami Heat to get Ray Allen open for a three. The idea of this play is to have your best three pointer shooter come off a stagger screen from your post players. 1 - Chalmers, 2 - Wade, 3 - Allen, 4- James, 5 - Bosh See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's play is a Stagger Pick and Roll set used to give your team a few options against the defense. It is very important that your players see the floor as there will be three different options happening at once. Your best shooter should start with the ball at the top of the key. If you have post players who can shoot well from the outside, this play will use them as a decoy to open up the key on the pick and roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set play that can be run for continuity with a stagger screen going on each time it is run. This is a great play to get a 3 point play for your 3 man, but it can be an even more effective ISO for 2 if the ball is thrown to him as he pulls across the lane. Because of the stagger going on the opposite side of the floor, the help side should be occupied and 2 can have a good chance to attack and create. Another option that could be open is 4 slipping to the basket after setting his top part of the stagger screen. If his man hedges hard to help on 3 popping to the wing, you could have a good look at 4 slipping to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother set started by a sprint screen from the Miami Heat as 1 sprints off 4's screen to set a ball screen on #6 Lebron James who is playing the 5 at this time. The 1 slips it and pops to the wing as #34 Ray Allen sprints off a stagger screen. #3 Dwayne Wade after setting the first screen opens right back up to the ball looking for a lob or pass. He gets a basket out of this in the NBA Finals. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother NBA Finals set ran by the Miami Heat against the San Antonio Spurs. Running #34 Ray Allen off a stagger with the 5 man slipping the last screen right to the rim as he knows teams show hard on Ray Allen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFence Curl Pop comes from Rick Adelman, which he has run both in Sacramento and with the Minnesota Wolves. Adelman usually calls this play out of timeouts when he sees something in the way the defense is playing screening actions. The play is designed to get a layup for a shooting guard or an open elbow jumper for a power forward. When Kevin Love runs this play for the Wolves he steps out to the three point line, making this an extremely difficult play to defend. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBlind Hit is a very quick backdoor option run by current UTEP and former USC Men's Basketball Coach Tim Floyd. Whether a defense is over-pressuring or caught napping, this is an effective backdoor option to get your guard a layup or dunk. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStarting in a horns set the Miami Heat curl their stretch 4 man off a double screen. The 5 then sets a down screen for the point #30 Norris Cole who runs off it looking for a shot. #1 Chris Bosh holds his screen until the point is thru and then dives to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBilly Donovan runs this play for a stretch-4 shooter (particularly ran it for Erik Murphy this past year) to get a quick three pointer in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Sacramento Kings ran this half-court set this week during the 2013 NBA Last Vegas Summer League. Their execution of this play was top notch getting all the way to the ending of the play. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe 1998 Chicago Bulls ran this Baseline Out of Bounds play, particularly in the 1998 Playoffs against the Charlotte Hornets. The design was to get Pippen the ball on the block with shooters in Jordan and Kerr around him in the Triangle. Pippen is the first screener, then gets a screen set for him by Rodman in a "screen the screener" action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAn outstanding set to get #6 Lebron James a post iso as all the action was focused on #34 Ray Allen running off a stagger or back cutting it based on the defense. On 4's catch #6 James takes his man in hard like hes going to run off a screen, reverse pivots and posts hard for his post iso. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set play that starts out with high stacks and morphs into a 1-4 set. This is a great set because it gets the ball swinging from side to side, has action going both towards and away from the basket, as well as a ball screen. You can also adapt this play so that 2 and 4 play pick and pop after the ball screen or you can pop 1 out for a 3pt chance off a stagger screen from 4 and 5 after 4 ball screens 2. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith #6 Lebron James playing the 4 for the Miami Heat it allowed them to run a lot of stuff with the 4 handling the ball against the Spurs in the NBA Finals. They ran this deep stagger set to get the ball to #34 Ray Allen. Ray Allen does an outstanding job of getting his defender on his side or behind him, and burrying him deep. He runs off the stagger screen and scores off a wide open 12 footer. See More
