In this diagram and embedded video we look at misdirection backdoor set that is best used as an ATO. I love the unassuming nature of the play. Matt Hackenberg 01/05/2022

In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the Circle Motion Offense. This set play comes from Central Arkansas, and has a spread ball screen evolvong directly out of the circle motion action. The ball screener really has to get on their horse to get to the ball screen for solid timing on this action. In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the Circle Motion Offense. This set play comes from Central Arkansas, and has a misdirection backdoor option. I like this action sprinkled in here and there to catch the defense off guard. The more often you try to run this set, the less often it will work successfully. Matt Hackenberg 01/05/2022

In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the Circle Motion Offense. This set play comes from Central Arkansas, and has post up option. I like how the set disguises the action by running through the normal Circle Motion action, then breaks the pattern to provide a duck in. Basketball Play - Horns Ball Screen - Roll/Pop Into Duck & Pins

Horns Ball Screen - Roll/Pop Into Duck & Pins

Matt Hackenberg 01/06/2022

In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the horns alignment. The horns ball screen, rolling and popping, creates great 4 around 1 spacing for the high/low. I like the flow of the play after the high/low look, using the DHO to set up action on both sides. I would bet that at least one of the sides isn't defended properly after the high/low action. Chino Hills '15-16: Press Defense

Matt Hackenberg 01/08/2022

BLOG & PLAYBOOK - Chino Hills Huskies: The Scheme Behind the Ball Brothers In this embedded video and diagram we look at the press defense of the 35-0, state championship Chino Hills team of 2015-16. Its press was one of the featured items of the CH system, following behind transition offense. Chino Hills wanted to play at a maximum pace, and its 2-2-1 3/4 court press was a major reason it could create so many turnovers and play at a fast pace. Video clip below.
