Georgia ran this action out of a Forwards Out set against the Spartans in the round of 64. There is a lot of good action here, but it is ultimately designed to set up a quick spread pick and roll that can de extremely difficult to guard with multiple shooters on the floor. See More

This is another option that Georgia ran out of their Flex set against Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament. Very early in the game, the Bulldogs caught MSU sleeping and hit 2 on the Flex screen for an easy score. New Mexico State is staying in the game by being patient on offense and waiting for open shots. In this box set play, the guards start at the elbows with 2 screening down for 4. 5 and 3 then screen the screener with a double screen on the opposite block. Now the point guard has the option to hit 2 for a shot on the wing or pass to 4 at the pinch post. In the game, 4 got the ball and looked to drive to the basket after 1 cut through the lane. See More

In their NCAA matchup with Notre Dame, Northeastern displayed a wonderful motion offense with great movement, multiple ballscreens, and very active bigs. In this play, they set up their motion with a thru cut by the 1, and the result is a duck-in opportunity for the 5 man. Georgetown ran this 4 around 1 set throughout their Round 2 matchup with Eastern Washington. The Hoyas used several different variations of the set utilizing the similar setup but unpredictable result. The action pictured is the base set. Dribble handoffs, double screens, flare screens, and back screens were all used out of this based set. Arkansas runs a very basic pass and screen away attack from their 4-out transition alignment. They keep things very basic in the half court as their primary goal is to shoot and score quickly with their Fastest 40 attack. Often the trailing post downscreens for wings sprinting to the baseline. When a player passes, he screens away or basket cuts. The Hogs stay in four-out and pass, screen away and/or cut. See More

NC State used this play early in the 1st half to get an open shot for Trevor Lacey. The play starts with an entry pass to the wing and a UCLA cut from 1 to the low post. Once 3 (Lacey) gets the ball at the top of the key, he has the option to pass to 1 for a shot or to pass to 4 flashing to the pinch post. Utah switched all screens which caused issues for the Lumberjacks but they were still able to get quality shots. VCU got the look they were looking for with 3 shooters spread around the perimeter but due to a bad pass and off balance shot they did not score. Ohio State ran this modified flex vs. VCU after setting it up with multiple possessions of their basic horns set. After using misdirection, the VCU defender is expecting a second misdirection screen but the 1 only uses one ball screen taking him to the wing. The help side defenders are also anticipating a guard attack or post dive to the paint. This action allows the ball handler and the cutter (flex) the entire side of the floor to work with. During this particular set the flex cut was covered and the ball was sent to the 2 coming off of a stagger screen. See More

Early offense from the VCU Rams during 1st half action vs. Ohio State. VCU used the action successfully on 5+ occasions during the 1st half. This set has multiple options but was used by the Rams to occupy help side defenders during the ball screen action.
