04/02/2015This play was used by Duke with 15:31 left in the 2nd half against Gonzaga when Duke was down by 2 points. The play uses a pick-the-picker action to get Winslow the ball on the wing for an open shot. In the game, Winslow made a good shot fake and drove to the basket for a lay-up. The most important part of this play was a good screen set by Winslow forcing his man to help on the initial cut. Once he pops to the wing, Winslow's defender is stuck on the other side of Plumlee. Louisville Lob to Stagger
03/29/2015Here is a lob option used by Rick Pitino and his Louisville Cardinals. The play uses a lot of side-to-side action getting the defense to chase cutters around the floor. The play starts with all 5 players above the free-throw line. The point guard passes to 4 then cuts to the basket off of a back-screen from 5. If the quick lob isn't there, 2 cuts across the floor weaving between screens from 5 and 4. Once 2 gets the ball, he gets a staggered ball-screen from the bigs. Multiple scoring options in this play make it difficult for teams to guard. See More

BLOB - "Silver"
03/27/2015This is a quick screen-the-screen action designed to get you best shooter (2) an open shot on the perimeter. The 5 will UCLA screen for the 4; the 4 needs to read the screen; could have an opportunity to tight curl and get all the way to the rim. If 4 isn't open, he needs to space to the 3-point line and the 2 diagonal screens for 5 to the weak side of the rim, while the 4 finishes with a downscreen for the 2. The early UCLA screen by the 5 man to get the 4 man open, can be a mis-direction screen because you are trying to get a shot for your 2 man. See More

UCCS Zone Lob
03/26/2015Here is a zone lob play used by head coach Jeff Culver at UCCS (University of Colorado-Colorado Springs). The UCCS Mountain Lions had an incredible season going 27-6 and winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament Championship over Metro State. This play was used to get Derrick White (25.8 ppg) a dunk against a 2-3 zone defense. The play starts with the ball moving to the wing and back to the point guard. With White on the wing, a back-screen is set as he sneaks in behind the defense for a lob and a dunk. See More
