Basketball Play - Creighton Bluejays - Stagger Burn

Creighton Bluejays - Stagger Burn

Tony Miller 03/18/2022

Watch the video below as Coach Tony Miller uses FastDraw, the #1 play diagramming program for basketball coaches, to break down this backdoor look that a number of NCAA tourney teams have gone to when needing a bucket. There are many ways to get to the final “burn” action, but in this case the Jays use a stagger to pull help defenders away from the rim. Send the play to your FastDraw library via the button above. Matt Hackenberg 03/16/2022

In this diagram and embedded video we look at set play against a zone. We all know overloading zones is a great idea. Basketball Play - Princeton Point Series Set Plays

Princeton Point Series Set Plays

Matt Hackenberg 03/09/2022

In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play series from the Princeton Point Series. We aren't using a traditional Princeton alignment, but the elbow catch with the "over" and "away" cuts clearly establish this actions as Princeton Point actions. Running plays in a series helps disguise them so the defense doesn't know what is coming.
