Basketball Play - 41 twist

41 twist

John Leonzo 04/25/2013

Here is another set that was run by Utah State during the 2010 season. This is a great quick hitter to get a quality look at the basket before getting into your motion offense. I would reccomend this set to anyone that is looking for a quick hitter that is hard to defend. See More

Basketball Play - Boise Shallow Cross Post

Boise Shallow Cross Post

Dana Beszczynski 12/13/2013

The Boise State Bronocs have beomce a well known team since Leon Rice arrived from Gonzaga. Since his arrival, the Broncos have established a dominant home court advantage, played near the top of the Mountain West Conference, and had their first at large selction to the NCAA Tournament. This is a nice post entry set run off a shallow dribble entry guard-to-guard out top. The FT line screen at the end can lead to a 3 pt shot or if the defense jumps the screen a slip action for the screener or a kick-out to either the corner or wing for an open shot. See More

Basketball Play - Post Button Hook

Post Button Hook

Randy Brown 05/20/2013

This is a high low play that starts out with a dribble out to the left wing by 1. 5 back screens for 2 as 4 gets open at the top of the key. On the catch, 4 looks quickly to 5 stepping into the lane. Immediately 4 reverses back to 1 and 5 button hooks back to the left block to catch and score. Give it a try! See More

Basketball Play - SLOB - Double Screen

SLOB - Double Screen

Basketball HQ 11/01/2012

Shooter needs to set his man up and make a good read. Screeners need to set goo solid screens and then react out of them to make an offense play. Unless it is an end of game situation where your team is up then side line out of bounds basketball play should be run to get a bucket. You either want to score right out of the sideline play or get right into your offense. Don’t waist opportunities to run set out bounds plays. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More

Basketball Play - Floppy C SOB

Floppy C SOB

Daniel Murphy 05/13/2014

Got this play from Marist MBB HC Jeff Bower. Coach Bower has many years of experience in the NBA which can be seen in this play. Floppy is a way to create some movement before setting the ball screen. 1 cutting to the corner and 4 spacing to the slot allow great spacing which puts pressure on the defense. See More

Basketball Play - Brooklyn Slob

Brooklyn Slob

Daniel Murphy 05/06/2013

Brooklyn ran this SLOB in game three against Chicago. 1 passes the ball inbounds and comes off 4's screen. 1 does not stop and continues to the opposite side of the court. 1 could have paused under the rim and used 4 and 2 and 5 as a single-double, or floppy. See More

Basketball Play - Strong Back Elevator

Strong Back Elevator

Adam Spinella 07/31/2013

This is a play used last season by the Washington Wizards under coach Randy Wittman. The Wizards would try to get an open three pointer for Bradley Beal or Martell Webster, who they start in the corner out of a Horns formation. You'll see the defense pay a lot of attention to John Wall on this play as well; it's one of the few occasions he's been utilized as a screener and this is a good example of how it can be effective for the best player on a team to be the screener - it sets up openings for others.
