Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is the winning shot hit last night by Casey Jacobsen for the Brosebaskets Bamberg of Germany in their Euroleague match-up against Anadolu Efes Istanbul from Turkey. With the victory, Bamberg improves to 2-1 in their group. Jacobsen left the Stanford Cardinals in 2002 and played 3 years with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. He had a short stint with the New Orleans Hornets before going overseas to play with Baskonia Vittoria.of Spain. From there he went to play with Bamberg leading them to the 2007 German Bundesliga Title. He spent one season with Bamberg before returning stateside to play with the Memphis Grizzlies before returning overseas to Germany to play with storied club Alba Berlin. Since 2009, Jacobsen has been back with the Brosebaskets Bamberg leading them to 4 Titles. Head Coach Chris Fleming is a graduate of the University of Richmond and has success at every stop he's been at in Germany as a Head Coach. This is a well designed play especially with the screen on the inbounder enabling the penetration and kick action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. This play is best for teams with a passing big. You are running this play for your best shooter or scorer. Your 2 guard will have to really sell that he is going to receive a hand off from 4 and then cut hard backdoor. He will need to read 3's man helping and then he can pass to him for three point shot. Favorite Send to FastDrawMike Woodson drew up this SLOB Need 3 action when he was the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks. While it is possible for 1 to be open on the first set of screens, do to help 3 is more than likely the option that will be open for a catch & shoot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA well designed SLOB play run by French National Team Coach Vincent Collet designed to get an isolation in the paint, off a side ball screen. Here France used the low post flash to attack the basket off the ball screen and although this situation was not successful, the play itself brings a multitude of opportunities to score off a dead ball situation. Favorite Send to FastDrawLate game play ran by Seattle in the 2000 playoffs vs. the Jazz. Gary Payton inbouded the ball and posted up. If you have a good post up guard this is a simple way to get the ball in the post for an iso, or you can change your personnel and post up any player directly from a side out situation. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn late game situations when you need a three pointer, Wheels is a good double screen set that frees up your shooter. When 1 comes off a double ball screen, he has room to stretch out the play on the perimeter, which allowed the double pindown to open up a shooter. 3 is the designed shooter in this scenario. Favorite Send to FastDrawBox Flare Drop is an end game SLOB play that gets a layup for your best post player. With 5-10 seconds left and needing only a two-pointer, the play starts in a box formation with a shooter starting on the opposite block. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Portland TrailBlazers coach Terry Stotts drew up this end game SLOB for a Blazers game winner. Needing a three pointer in a catch and shoot situation, Box Side Elevator starts in a box formation with the shooter on the opposite block. Watch the weird spacing on this play and how awkward it becomes for the defenders to hedge on the elevator screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSet a simple pindown on the weakside to get a shooter a shot from a SLOB. 4 waits until 1 catches, then pins 2. With the weakside triangle set there is a strong side two man game. After 2 catches, 4 can set a step up screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawZipper screen to a ball screen from the sideline. Simple play that allows your players to make reads. 4 and 5 can roll and replace. 1 can finish at the rim. Hit 5 on the roll. 4 on the replace for a shot or hi-low with 5. If any weakside help pulls in, 1 can pass out for an open perimeter jump shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is the set the Miami Heat ran in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. I thought from watching it the lob was open and the 3 which #6 LeBron James missed were both open. A great job of executing by the Miami Heat. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Spurs do a great job of ball screening right on the catch of somebody who just ran off a screen. On this specific SLOB #20 Manu Ginobili runs off a zipper screen and then gets ball screened in the middle of the floor. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Spurs ran this play a lot to get #20 Manu Ginobili coming hard to get a dribble handoff. The pin down screen created some problems for opposing defenses and led to an open look for #21 Tim Duncan after giving Ginobili the handoff. See More
