Basketball Play - Tennessee Volunteers - Floppy DHO High Low

Tennessee Volunteers - Floppy DHO High Low

Matt Wheeler 11/18/2020

Tennessee starts this action out of the Floppy set to get a post up off of the high low action. This puts 5's defender in a situaiton where they have to defend multiple actions and even step out on the perimeter before 5 ducks in for a post up. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More

Basketball Play - Las Vegas Aces - Floppy High Low

Las Vegas Aces - Floppy High Low

Matt Wheeler 09/19/2019

The Las Vegas Aces like to play with two post players who are comfortable around the basket. This is one of their sets that they frequently run to get their posts in a high/low situation. The play starts in a floppy action with 2 cutting off the screen from 3 and 5 to receive the pass on the wing. In a typical "floppy" play, 3 would then cut to the other side of the court off a screen from 4. This time 3 cuts to the ball side corner. This clears the extra defender out of the area so the Aces can get a look in the post off the high/low. See video below. See More

Basketball Play - Duke Blue Devils - Horns Post High Low

Duke Blue Devils - Horns Post High Low

Tony Miller 12/10/2017

Over the past few seasons, Duke's Mike Krzyzewski has had the luxury of playing long, athletic scorers at the 4 position. Players like Ingram, Tatum, and Bagely could all use their quickness against bigger defenders or use their size to post up smaller guards. This Horns set allows an athletic 4 to use quickness to beat x4 to the block from 2's screen. If the defense switches, the 4 can post up a smaller x2. See More

Basketball Play - Minnesota Lynx - Elbow Handoff High Low

Minnesota Lynx - Elbow Handoff High Low

Matt Wheeler 09/24/2017

The Minnesota Lynx ran this play designed to get 5 a post up opportunity at the rim. 1 followed her pass to 5 to receive a handoff. 1 turned the corner trying to drive as 5 cut to the rim. 4 popped up top to receive the pass from 1. x5 tried to front 5 in the post but 5 did a good job of walking her up the lane, which created space for the high low pass at the rim. Basketball Play - Atlanta Hawks - UCLA High Low Lob

Atlanta Hawks - UCLA High Low Lob

Matt Wheeler 04/26/2017

The Atlanta Hawks ran this play to get a great look for a lob after a time out in their playoff game against the Washington Wizards.. A common action in this set is 2 coming of the stagger screen for a shot. In this play the Hawks used that action as a decoy and then 3 slipped the screen to the short corner. This cleared the help defense and put their 5 in a one on one position in the post. 5 then fakes the duck in and spins off of his man to catch the lob pass for the dunk. See More

Basketball Play - South Carolina (W) - Horns 53 High Low

South Carolina (W) - Horns 53 High Low

Aseem Rastogi 04/01/2017

With 5:57 left in their Final Four matchup with Stanford, Coach Dawn Staley called this Horns set to get a quick high low for their 3 player who was being guarded by a smaller defender. South Carolina loves to run their high low action with A'Ja Wilson and Alaina Coates, but with Coates nursing an injury, they had to turn to an unconventional high low action to keep it rolling. Basketball Play - France W - SLOB High Low

France W - SLOB High Low

Matt Wheeler 08/17/2016

The women's team from France uses this SLOB play to quickly get the ball inside. x4 has to help in defending the staggered screen, so 4 usually has no problem receiving the ball up top. The cuts from the wings help to draw attention from their defenders. This isolates the post players so they can make the high low pass. See More
