Favorite Send to FastDrawIn the 2019 NCAA Elite Eight, Coach Calipari ran this set over and over again, to get PJ Washington isolated. It actually features an opportunity to isolate players on either block. #FastModelMadness See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBaylor opened their semi-final win with this high/low, into a double stagger. They ran this on their first four possessions. Sometimes, they even repeat the action on the second side. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a disguised entry into 21. Defense is about positioning so getting any defense out of the position they are familar guarding an action out of automatically begins putting them to the test. This is only the entry into the 21 offense. If you have not seen that yet I recommend checking out my diagram of it here See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe University of Houston runs an incredibly effective offense. This set is designed to get a mismatch and the ball in space with shooters surrounding him. Michigan switched this defensively, which for most teams in the country a 1 to 5 or 1 to 4 ball screen would present serious mismatch problems. If defense does not switch, there is either a layup, three, or long closeout to be had. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawI am not convinced this is a set play but I do love this action that led to the outcome. Marquette does a great job of creating triangles with defenders and gaps in their zone offense which puts the defense in decision situations where they will be wrong regardless of how they cover it. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis a very simple, yet effective set to use early in transition to counter over aggressive defense. Take a look at the video below to see how the Tigers set this up. Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat early offense transition set from the Grizzlies. This is a wrinkle out of their early offense to get Jaren Jackson an isolated post touch. His gravity will pull the single side open for Brandon Clarke's lob. The original wing is still in a free throw line extended position from the Pistol pitch ahead which makes his defender choose to tag Clarke's roll or stay attached to the shooter. Beautiful timing and spacing in this set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is beautiful set for the Houston Cougars to get a deep post catch. This set could be utilized to get your best playmaker a catch in the short corner with space to make decisions. The piece that makes everything the Cougars do work on both sides of their ball is their pace. They are physical, they cut with purpose, and they will hunt out those hard-nosed baskets. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another great set the from Houston Cougars that will get your 4 man a catch with two feet in the paint. The alignment is unique and provides opportunity for miscommunication as well. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is set that teams across the country run a variation of. Low to high, small to big back screen for a deep post catch. I have added the flare screen to the end because inadvertently it worked for LSU in the clip below. This set will get a two-foot paint catch or a wide open three. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a simple but efficient set that places the defense in a decision moment. There is a threatening small to big back/cross screen while the best shooter is simultaneously comming off a double stagger. If the ball is swung, then the 5 is able to dive and seal for another deep post catch opportunity. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a creative idea to overload a 2-3 zone and create a seam with a step-up ball screen. #Top25XsOs: Honorable Mention Teams | Teams 25-21 | Teams 20-16 | Teams 15-11 | Teams 10-6 | Teams 5-1 *New customers use discount code SAVE10 at purchase* See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGuard sets a cross screen on the ball screener's defender to prevent a hard hedge or trap by the defense. Following the balls creen and hit ahead pass, a step up screen for the guard is set to attack downhill. This is a great set that uses the defenses help side positioning against them. Favorite Send to FastDrawAction that includes flare screen/down screen combo to get into a high ball screen look. This set works against zone defenses as well by screening the outside of the zone and slipping to the high post and short corners respectively. See More
