Favorite Send to FastDrawFriday night in their win over Kentucky, Baylor ran this action to get Isaiah Austin a quick bucket in the 2nd half. The key to this play is 2 and 3 cutting HARD and 5 being patient enough to let the play run its' course. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night in an overtime thriller, without any timeouts and trailing by 2 with just a few seconds left, Tom Thibodeau called out this Stack play for Luol Deng. Deng did an excellent job stepping back to set up his man and leveraging position to beat his man back to the ball for a catch & shoot lay-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTriangle Low is a baseline out of bounds action that Jeff Van Gundy ran while the head coach of the Houston Rockets. Obviously your 1st option is to hit 1 for a lay-up after the backscreen is set. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawWhile last night's NBA debut and return of Derrick Rose wasn't as intense as many hyped it to be, from a coaches perspective I was able to pick up a few new extra X & O's. The Chicago Bulls ran this baseline out of bounds action during their comeback attempt late in the 4th quarter. This play is simple and effective and can be run at any level. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play came from the 2005 Houston Rockets when they ran this play towards the end of a Playoff game. Screen the screener is a very common action out of bounds but the way this play was ran I do not see very often. I also love the pick & roll action right after the catch. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a baseline out of bounds play Rick Pitino's Louisville Cardinals ran during the 2013 Final Four and National Champsionship games. Most teams would stop once the ball was inbounded to 1, not the Cards. 3 quickly stepped into to free up Dieng for a post-up. To see EVERY play Louisville ran in the 2012 and 2013 Final Four you can do so in my eBook Championship Execution! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStagger is a variation of the Comeback play presented earlier. This play is run with a baseline stagger double and a middle pick and roll. For more, check out my website www.coachpeelbasketball.com, sign up for a membership, and get your first 30 days free. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Louisville Cardinals did a good job using the screen-the-screener action initially to get their 1 man free for the inbounds pass. 3 times his screen perfectly as 1 dribbles down the wing to hit 5 flashing to the ball off 3's screen. The Cardinals do a good job opening the lane as 4 clears above the 3 pt line after setting the screen to free 1 for the inbounds pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDouble is a variation of Comeback. Instead of going back to the ball-side corner, this play will involve an elevator screen to get a three-point shot for #3. Favorite Send to FastDraw"Twist" is a counter to "Oakland" that was presented earlier. This play, like "Oakland", was one we ran while I was coaching at Turner High School in Kansas City, KS. The only difference was that we had #1 throw the ball inbounds instead of #3 as the diagram shows.
