Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Knicks ran this play in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Pacers at the end of a quarter. The play was designed to get a J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony ballscreen in space. The play was probably designed for Carmelo to pop off the screen and isolate on the wing; instead Chandler was wide open at the rim and Melo hit him for an alley oop. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's Play of the Day is a transition option from Fred Hoiberg and the Iowa State Cyclones for a stretch shooting big man. Hoiberg ran this set coming out of transition for his forward Georges Niang, particularly against Kansas and Jef Withey, who was exceptionally poor at defending on the perimeter. This action fits well into Hoiberg's overall motion offense, which is strongly perimeter-based. His general pattern of offense has been dubbed basketball's version of the "Spread Offense". See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDummy screens in the paint can occupy help defense while a backdoor cut occurs. Xavier uses that principle well out of a spread formation, making help defenders far too elevated to snuff out a backdoor. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set of pick & roll shooting drills is one of my favorites for player development. There are 189 total moves below to work on different pick & roll coverages and methods of attack at the three most popular angles. In order to keep your workouts efficient and energetic, take just one action and focus on 3-4 moves within that action from all three angles. Do not allow your players to just go through the motions, set a goal to reach during each set. Example: You MUST make 7-10 before moving to the next sequence. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw2 is a shooter to run through as the ball goes left off of the ball screen. 4 pops to get clear out. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIf one can not reverse to 5 he dribbles hard at him. 5 goes backdoor, then to ball side corner. 1 hits 3. On the pass, 4 sprints to ball screen 3. 3 comes off 4's ball screen and looks to attack the lane. 1 and 2 drift to wing and corner, ready for shots as their defender's help. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis continuity offense provides an opportunity to get all 5 offensive players involved within the screening action. It also has provided us with a great "2nd offense" that is completely different than our offense that we run traditionally. If you have guards that like to post-up and bigs that can play on the perimeter, this continuity will be beneficial. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set play that is a staple of Rick Byrd's at Belmont. This is a great set when you need a three because of the double down screen that is set for 2. Also because of the double screen that 4 and 5 are setting, 3 will have a good chance at driving baseline and not having to worry about help side defense. See More
