Favorite Send to FastDrawHead Coach Jim Boeheim has once again shown what a masterful Coach he is turning this year's Orange into the 2nd ranked team in the nation with an undefeated record. The Orange have made a smooth transition to the ACC and sit atop the standings with a big showdown against Duke looming this Saturday in the Dome where over 34,000 tickets have been sold. This Transition Stagger action is a good way to get a shooter off early in the offense if the defense sits back and relaxes. The play can also end in a post entry pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawJohnny Dawkins played for and coached under Coach K at Duke and this influence can be seen by the good ball and player movement the Cardinals use in their Motion Offense The Cardinals keep the floor spaced for the kick-out pass and spot up 3 and keep the lane clear for good cuts looking to catch the defense See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSyracuse than this pock & roll pin-down action in the 2013 Men's Final Four. If 4 isn't able to catch & shoot or create on the dribble, the play will continue as 3 uses the screen from 5. 4 has the option to hit 3 coming off the screen or look to feed 5 sealing in the post. For every play Syracuse ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my eBook, “Championship Execution”. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStonehill College MBB ran this BLOB multiple times during their recent game vs. St. Anselm College on 12-10-13 See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe goal of the play is to isolate 3 on the left wing for one on one situation. 1 dribbles out to the right wing, pushing 3 to the block. On ball reversal, 4 screens for 3 to free him on the left wing. 4 and 5 stay on the right side to occupy their defenders at 3 takes his defener one one. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set that you can use to get a post up. If you run "America's Play" this is a good counter that sets up with similar action, but has a different purpose. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPlay run by Coach Bill Self and also used in Creighton's win over St. John's. Dribble hand off, ball screen, and flare to set up the 3 point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast week I posted this play that ended with a catch & shoot for Ibaka. The Thunder ran the same action a few possessions later except Ibaka was not open so he continued into a spread pick & pop with Durant. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis action is keyed on ball reversal and back screen for 3 to open area on the floor. 4 and 5 pop out to pull their defenders higher on the floor. If 3 is not available, 1 uses 4-5 down screen for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawUtah State MBB ran this single-double action against UNLV on 1-22-14 with 17:05 remaining in the 1st Half. This is great action to run if an offensive player is hot and needs to be fed or if you play a team that does not switch or help against screening action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis SLOB features loop action and incorporates multiple screens while offering a post up, 3pt shot and flash option See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBill Self ran this zone quick hitter after a dead ball situation in the first half against Georgetown on 12-21-13. The use of #22 Wiggins as a decoy and #23 Frankamp (shooter) on the screeners side, allows this cross screen action to be very effective. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith 18.3 seconds left in the 2nd quarter of the Miami Heat - San Antonio Spurs game on 1/26/14, Heat coach Eric Spoelstra drew up this great SLOB play to get Ray Allen a wide open 3 pointer that hit to put the Heat up 8 at halftime. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play uses the X action using 5 in the high post. Ball is reversed to 5 at the top of the key. 2 cuts to right wing as 3 uses screens by 1 and 4. This is a specific scoring play for your 3 man. See More
