1-4 High Alignment: Post players at elbow area and guards positioned in the gaps of the zone. 1st pass is to either guard.
Once the wing pass is caught, the strong side post flashes to the short corner and the weakside post looks to flash to the elbow. The point guard spaces away and the weak side guard goes to the corner.
Option 1: Hit the flashing post player at the elbow. On a catch the reads are:
1. Shot
2. Dump inside to buddy
3. Reverse pass to corner
If the flashing post player is not open then she pops out and quickly reverses the basketball to either the point guard or the 2 guard in the corner.
Once the point guard catches, she is taught to drive the inside shoulder of the zone to "freeze" the defender and then kick it out to shooter in the corner. The posts now "X" on ball reversal.
If the 2 man does not have a shot, we run a drag dribble out of the corner to draw defender away from the short corner area occupied by our 5 player. If we throw to short corner area our reads are:
1. Shot
2. Buddy pass
3. Fan Opposite
