About This Play/Drill

This 1-4 High Offense set produces an open three pointer in the corner for a good shooter off a misdirection action. There is enough spacing on the weak side so that if the play breaks down the player with the ball can react to the defense and attack the rim.

  • 1 will pass to 2 (the shooter) on the wing and set a shuffle screen for 4 to cut to the block and overload.

  • After 1 sets the screen, he wheels through to the opposite corner. 5 then sets a side ball screen for 2. 2 turns the corner and exchanges into a dribble handoff with 3. 2 can keep the ball here and get to the rim as well.

  • 3 delays up top, waiting for 2 to pop to the corner off a Fence action from 4 and 5. On the weak side, 1 will raise and look for a throwback if his defender sags and over-helps in the paint.
