The Houston Rockets opened the 2017-18 season with this play designed to get James Harden (2) a drive to the basket off a staggered ball screen. After passing to 2, 1 followed his pass and abruptly stopped his cut next to x1. By quickly changing the the cut into a ball screen x1 wasn't able to provide help. This allowed 2 to turn the corner knowing that x2 was out of the play and be able to attack x5 going to the basket.

1 then follows the pass stopping his cut next to 2.

2 dribbles around screens from 1 & 5 to the basket.
5 rolls to the rim.
