Favorite Send to FastDrawThe point guard runs around 4 and screens for him. Once 4 has the ball, 5 dives into the lane for a post pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another set that works great for getting a quick post up. The play starts with a piston action and the ball is entered to the right wing. The opposite corner then ducks into the lane for a quick post up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Chicago Bulls summer league team ran this variation of the Wedge play to get the ball inside for a post up play. Frequently teams try to get the ball into the post on the initial side of the floor after the screen from 2. In this play 2 pops out to receive the pass from 1 after he sets his screen. 4 and 3 set simultaneous screens to get 5 open in the post and to free up 2 to make the post entry pass to him. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe premise of this drill is to mimic quick action in early offense. This will improve your screening, how your guys/girls catch and shoot and read the defense. On the flip side your defense will be able to not let cutters cut without being bumped and improve communication. We play a game to seven. There are three options to this drill outlined below. Drill #1 is a UCLA cut. Drill #2 works on the Ghost Screen and drill #3 has a backdoor option. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, an Orlando action "dribble handoff into ball screen" opens up the ballhandler and a cross screen is set for the post player inside. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was used as a secondary break and has 5 set a slot ball-screen for 1 then roll into the post. The ball is reversed with a second ball-screen set and then 5 flashes high to the elbow. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Golden State Warriors ran a stagger baseline screen for 2 to the right wing. The ball was reverses in the secondary break from the point guard to the trailing big over to the 2 guard on the right wing. The second screener in the original stagger screen then turned and set a cross screen for 4 to the post. 2 enterered the ball in the post to 4 on the right block. As soon as he entered the ball he got a "flare" screen from 5 for the top. Once the defender guarded that action the 5 immediately turned and set a "fire" screen, which is a re screen back towards the ball, for 2. 2 caught the pass out of the post from 4 for a jump shot. Favorite Send to FastDrawSerbia likes to run the point guard up the sidelines and to get a quick post they used this spacing pattern with the point guard and center on one side of the floor and 4, 3, and 2 all on the right side of the floor (and spaced on the 3-point line). The spacing makes it hard for the defenders to help in the post and if all of your players are capable 3-point shooters this can be an easy way to get a 1 on 1 look in the post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this play, our post sets an up-screen for the wing against the zone defense then steps out to the wing to get the pass. 5 then looks to pass inside to 3 posting up and makes a cut to the rim. The other players fill around 5 on the post cut. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTrain multiple actions, including post feeds, duck-ins, laker cuts, passes out of the post, and of course - making shots! Players will get two shots at a time in two different locations. Can be used with a small group or your entire team. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOklahoma on offense ran a lot of dribble weave to force the defense to communicate and make decisions weather to switch hand offs, go under, open up and slide thru, or go over the top. This was one of the few actions they ran against Villanova to get the ball on the block. In this play I would recommend using your best player like Oklahoma used #24 Heild. The action is a simple rub screen to allow the post player to seal his man deeper then he normally would be able too. By using your best player to set the rub screen it forces his man to stay attached to him which creates essentially a double screen, plus the 5 man defending the post may show or offer some help in defending the best player. Favorite Send to FastDrawA great drill that simultaneously improves your team and individual players offensively and defensively is a series of 3 on 3 drills. Offensively, we work on dribble hand-offs, cuts, shooting, passing, catching, screens, and timing. Defensively, we work on communication and the different ways to defend screens. I also like this drill because it helps to reduce turnovers. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis entry into horns runs 1 into the lane to set a stagger screen with 3 for 4 as 2 gets a dribble handoff from 5. This is a great set to get your 4 on the block for a quick 2. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat set to get the ball inside. This play completely clears out the weak side and the fade screen up top occupies potential weak side help. This is great action if the defense is fronting the post, as it gives a clear opportunity to throw the ball over the top of the post defender. See More
