Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Lakers opened the second half of their Christmas day game against the Clippers with this play designed to get Lebron James (1) the ball off a pindown screen. 1 started the play by passing to 3 on the wing and making a UCLA cut to the basket. 3 immediately passed to 5 off of the ball screen, who reversed the ball to 2 on a dribble handoff. 1 then cuts off the screen from 4 to get the pass from 2. In this situation the initial actions were defended well and the Lakers went into a second ball screen and a high post flash in order to get a shot off. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Villanova Wildcats used several actions to get All American guard Jalen Brunson into the post during their run to the 2018 NCAA National Championship. Brunson would use his size to score over smaller guards or his precision passing to hit a perimeter player for a 3PA. Check out the full blog post on Inverted Offense in tweet below. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Zeljko Obradovic runs this play for his lefty point guard Kostas Sloukas. A set play which makes defenders chase and react on DHO situations, followed by a middle pick and roll. A quick relocation of 3 and 4 to the corners is important, in order to create a double gap for the point guard to attack the basket and have all passing options available. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Mike Budenholzer of the Milwaukee Bucks runs this play for Ersan Ilyasova, a stretch 4. Action starts with an elbow pitch to 5 and a fake down screen for 4 who cuts to the basket instead. 1 gets the ball back from 5 via a DHO and 5 sets a turnout screen for 4. At the same time, 2 sets a Hammer screen for 3 to provide 1 with multiple passing options. See video clip below. #FastDrawArt See More

Favorite Send to FastDraw"Pitch Mix Blur" - using misdirection and passing against the grain to open gap space for drives. This is one of many such sets and concepts in our latest playbook - Double Gap Playbook. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Houston Rockets use an interesting lineup for this play. All five of the players in this set are in the 6'5-6-8" range, which allows for versatility when moving the ball around. This play may look complex from all of the movement, but in reality, the Rockets just follow the principles of moving the ball, and moving off-ball to where there is space. All five players are involved in some capacity, so it requires mental focus of the entire team. PJ Tucker (5) does a nice job passing into a screen, which allows Michael Carter-Williams to get around, draw 3 defenders, and find an open Gary Clark in the corner. This is also a good play to run if you wish to save a player's energy, because the 2 does not have to move much at all on this play outside of a pass in the beginning. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDrill Description - Player 1 starts with the ball at the free throw line. - Player 2 starts parallel with player 1 spaced out free throw line extended. - The drill is initiated with player 1 passing the ball to coach. - Once the ball is pass to coach, player 1 is sprinting below the cone to try and run player 2 off the 3 point line preventing them from a rhythm 3. - As the ball is passed, player 2 is drifting to the corner being shot ready. - The ONLY shot the player can shoot is a catch & shoot 3 - If the player makes the shot, they stay on offense. - First player to make 4 3's. Favorite Send to FastDrawEffective and simple BLOB play by Canada Coach Jay Triano. Use this play with players of all ages if you have a shooter that can release quickly. This play works off the basis that by force-curling the first screen, your shooter effectively uses the cutter's defender as a second moving screen, and because the offense is cutting to the basket, the inbounder's defender must shade basket side - leaving the passing lane open. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe LA Sparks ran this quick hitter for their first bucket of the game against the Indiana Fever. The design takes advantage of Candace Parker's passing ability from the top and a small to big down screen between Odyssey Sims and Jantel Lavender, resulting in a wide open Sims layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a misdirection play by the 76ers to post Ben Simmons on the weak side block, which Philly loves to do because of his passing skills and court vision from this area. Embiid/Saric/Ilysova make the entry and then play out of it. Entry passer can cut through or set a flare screen for Covington/Reddick/Belineli. 2-5 are interchangeable spots. The Sixers play call for this is "Platter" which simmons will yell as he holds his hand out palm up. See More
