Basketball Play - Bosnia & Herzegovina U17 - Cross

Bosnia & Herzegovina U17 - Cross

Justin Schueller 07/06/2016

One of the harder actions to negate at the recent FIBA U17 World Championships was Bosnia & Herzegovina's cross screen, down screen into middle on ball action which they ran for thier leading player Dzanan Musa. The action allows multiple scoring opportunities for Musa while engaging weakside defenders and allowing the best chance for penetration to a score or kick out 3. We met Bosnia & Herzegovina in the round of 16 and spent a lot of time ensuring we could negate this action. As the game showed they were still able to create positive shots out of this action, even against a heavy scout. See More

Basketball Play - Hawaii - Double Stagger

Hawaii - Double Stagger

Dana Beszczynski 03/20/2016

Eran Ganot is the 21st head coach of the UH men's basketball program. At 33 years old, he is the second youngest to lead the Rainbow Warriors, Bruce O'Neil was 28 years old when he hired and began his four year head coaching career at UH (1973-76). A former UH assistant coach, Ganot returns to Manoa from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif., where he served most recently as the associate head coach; earning runner-up in the West Coast Conference (WCC) standings; making an appearance in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT); and ending the season with a 21-10 record. The Rainbows have had a solid season and came into the NCAA Tournament believing they could make some noise and that they did by knocking off the PAC 12 opponent Cal on Friday night. See More

Basketball Play - Miami - Horns Hi/Lo Options

Miami - Horns Hi/Lo Options

Wes Kosel 03/14/2016

This horns set play by Miami is great for getting your 4 or 5 man looks inside. The intial ball-screen gives 4 the opportunity post up on the roll. If that isn't open, 3 dribbling to the left wing gives 5 the opportunity to get open. If that still isn't open, 4 flashing to the elbow gives you a nice hi/lo look. The different options get you to the same result trying to get the ball inside to 4 or 5. See More

Basketball Play - "2"

"2"

Dana Beszczynski 02/15/2016

This is nicely designed play from Bill Self and his Kansas Jayhawks which they ran in the second half of their game against Oklahoma on Saturday night looking to get Greene a shot at the TOK off a possible elevator action. Selden Jr. did a good job reading the defense drifting to the corner where Graham found him alone for the skip pass and wide open shot. See More

Basketball Play - The Swing Offense

The Swing Offense

Coach Nick 12/05/2015

"The Swing is a four-out patterned offense with continuity. All five players are interchangeable, and spacing, screening, cutting and accurate passing are vital. All five players have opportunities to post up inside, and the Badgers often invert their offense and post guards. The offense is deliberate (Wisconsin ranks 333rd out of 351 in the nation in adjusted tempo), often with multiple passes and places value on each possession with high percentage inside shots, or free-throws. Unlike some of the recent, newer offenses that feature dribble penetration as their engine of point generation, the Swing offense is truly a “team-offense” that places a premium on good passing, screening and cutting." - Randy Sherman - http://bballbreakdown.com/2015/02/14/wisconsin-badgers-inside-the-best-offense-in-college-basketball/ See More
