About This Play/Drill

  • Basketball Play - Yankee

Frame 1
The play begins with #1 coming off of a high ball screen set by #4. As #1 clears, #2 will set a screen for #5 so that #5 can post up.

 

Frame 2
If the post up to #5 is not open, #2 will come off of a down screen set by #4. #1 can either hit #2 off of the down screen for a three-point shot or hit #4 slipping to the basket.

 

If #2 is not able to get a shot off on the catch, we move into our half court offense.

 

Frame 3
If #1 is trapped, #4 will pop away and look for the pass back from #1.
