Favorite Send to FastDrawI love catching old (if you consider last season old) games on NBAtv and trying to find some new plays to share with my readers. Last night I watched a few minutes of a New York Knicks Playoff game. I loved this action because it involved a big screening a guard into a pick & roll taking screen the screener a step further. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play from the Dallas Mavericks' playbook. Obviously they've got a 4 that can shoot it, but personnel can be adjusted based on who you want getting the basketball. In any case, the action pulls the bigs away from the basket and clears out the weak side of the floor, giving your 4 the option to shoot or drive to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a set play we used with success in our first season. It has multiple scoring options and a lot of movement. If the timing is good, the defense has to make split second decisions which can lead to easy points either on the paint or on the perimeter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawArgentina Flex that has three options instead of traditional down screen near the block. On the initial entry when 5 back screens 1, 1 can duck in. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a Horns set utilized by Lithuania in the FIBA European Championships against France. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLithuania Coach Kazlauskas has a lot of experence in Europe and his offesive schemes incorporate a lot of ball movement and screening actions. Here is a tremendous set play run against France in the European Championship Final designed to isolate their strong 3 man, but when the play breaks down, the flat screen is used to isolate the PG for either a shot or penetration See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is simple yet very effective zone offense play that is one of my favorites. As 1 dribbles over, 2 overloads the floor making this play difficult to guard every option. After 5 screens in, he should try to post up hard on X5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another action I watched last night while watching the 1987 NBA Finals between the Lakers and Celtics. Pat Riley called out "C" as the Lakers jogged up court. 3 (Magic Johnson) came off a baseline rub that turned into a staggered pick & roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFloppy play ran by Spain in their third place game vs. Croatia. Spain didn't get anything off the intial step up screen but after two passes got into drive and kick game. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLithuania ran this play today versus Croatia in Semi-Final action of the 2013 Eurobasket Champsionship. Lithuania ran some phenomenal actions all game but this was one of my favorites. Even though this play seemed to breakdown the players kept running the action to end in the pick & roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set from the Brooklyn Nets' former coach Avery Johnson is one of my favorite half-court sets that allows for multiple tweaks and options to add this as a staple of your offense. See More
