Set a good ball screen and have the point guard look to turn the corner and get in the paint. Make the defense suck in and then hit the shooter coming off the screen. Set a good down screen and the shooter coming off the screen needs to set his man up. I saw this segment last week on ESPNU. NC State shows a great set that they run to get many different looks for different players. This set is all about timing and reading what the defense does. You might be able to get the post open on just the naked cut across the paint, of the 2 coming off the lob, the point guard coming off the ball screen, or a possible kick out from the point, the post on the cross screen, the shooter coming off the single down screen or even the 4 slipping to the basket because the defender hedged out to the shooter. This set properly ran, can be very difficult to run and might be a nice little secondary break set to throw in the second half of a game. Enjoy See More

Set good screens and cut hard. Inbounder needs to hit the players right when they get open and not make them wait on the ball. Every basketball inbound play should be seen as an opportunity to run a set play and get a good look at the basket. The reason that this basketball play works so well is because there are multiple screening actions in a row. If you set good screens and cut hard this play will be very hard for the defense to guard.
