Favorite Send to FastDrawAs Evin Gualberto shows in the below tweet, this play is commonly used by the Sky to utilize Emma Meesseman's passing to get an open layup. It works well when 2's defender is overplaying the zipper cut. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a Princeton alignment. I think the backdoor option on the high post entry is sneaky, and could work if executed well. The baseline is cleared so the roller may be there from the ball screen, and of course the shooter coming off the pin down is a nice option. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the 4 corners alignment. I love using 4 corners to organize for the last shot of the quarter or half. This set gives a backdoor option, and if that's not open the 5 can turn and face to go one-on-one. Favorite Send to FastDrawLove this SLOB box set up against an over-playing defense that gets a backdoor cut wide open. Follow more #FastModelMadness22 here See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLoyola Chicago ran this set to start the second half against Indiana State on February 15, 2022. This is a great set to utilize a post with great passing ability as well as ability to score on the block. Loyola used Julia Hoefling in that spot. This resulted in a wide open jumper for Bre Hampton-Bey on the right wing. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set play from the Dallas Mavericks works great after you've run stagger screen actions a few times. Most of the time the stagger screen would be the main action in the play and x3 can have a tendency to relax since he's not a part of it. This play capitalizes on that by quickly going away from the stagger screen and hitting 3 on the backdoor pass. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the horns alignment to set up a backdoor. The set uses a stagger screen to distract the defense, and misdirection to isolate a single defender for the backdoor. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the Circle Motion Offense. This set play comes from Central Arkansas, and has a misdirection backdoor option. I like this action sprinkled in here and there to catch the defense off guard. The more often you try to run this set, the less often it will work successfully. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at misdirection backdoor set that is best used as an ATO. I love the unassuming nature of the play. If used in moderation, this set can score a quick and easy two points for your team. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and video clip we see a SLOB to burn aggressive defense on a blind pig backdoor. This play is sexy when executed properly, but it is better mixed in with other options out of the same set up, instead of being a stand alone set play in your playbook. Video below.
