Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is set from Eurochallenge season 2012-13. Half court set with back screen guard to big & screen the screener big to guard. Effective for open 3 pt shot couple of times in a game. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA slight counter to the Heat's dribble handoff into iverson action as after the handoff the PG (#15 Chalmers or #30 Cole move down to the block to set a back screen for #1 Chris Bosh to post up. With #6 Lebron James playing the 4 and handling the ball the point continues up to ball screen for him. Another action to eliminate the high hedge. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Miami Heat realized the San Antonio Spurs were sitting on certain baseline out of bounds plays after playing them 7 straight times and decided to throw a different wrinkle at them. Instead of the 4 & 5 setting a double screen for 1 or 3, #1 Chris Bosh set a back screen for the 4 man who dove right to the rim. #1 Bosh's man protects against the cut allowing #1 Bosh to pop for a wide open jumper. Favorite Send to FastDrawA common San Antonio Spurs SLOB which didn't translate into many points against the Miami Heat. But the amount they ran it made me think they must have had good success with this action during the season. They utilized these back screens to get #21 Tim Duncan a post iso. The only hoop they got on this action against Miami was a #2 Kawhi Leonard 3 from the top of the key. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHeat ran this at 7:45 of Q3 in game 7. When Chalmers clears to the corner he first runs at Bosh faking the screen. As this is happening Miller is sprinting into the back screen. The Spurs switched the pick and pop. Parker was guarding Miller and on the switch Parker guarded Wade and Manu guarded Miller. When Miller set the ball screen it was in the middle, but so low the screen was at the nail of the FT line. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Miami Heat do a fantastic job of getting the ball to the elbow in pressure/clutch situations. Here are two plays the Heat ran against the Indiana Pacers in the ECF from the Sideline out of bounds to get elbow catches. One entry turns into their most successful play the FT Line Back Screen two man game between Wade & Bosh with Lebron having the ball. The other set was how Miami won G1 as Lebron had an isolation from the elbow. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play starts with a hand off from 1 to 2. 1 cuts through to left corner and 2 uses quick on ball screen from 4. First look is to 1 coming off 5's baseline screen and two is a back screen lob for 4. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA common screen the screener set ran by a lot of High School, College, and NBA teams was used by the Indiana Pacers against the Miami Heat. As you will see in most of Indiana's play sets they run a lot of stuff for their 3 man, #24 Paul George. Here they use George to set the back screen for the post before he runs off 5's screen for a wing catch. He has the option to shoot, drive, or dump it inside to the posting #55 Roy Hibbert. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set play that was run often by the Pitt Panthers over the course of this last college basketball season. This play starts off with a basic flex action and then develops into a back screen for a lob opportunity and then finishes with a screen the screener action to get an open three. This play is great because the ball is changing sides of the floor, you have action going to the basket and away from the basket, and also flows right out of transition. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play comes from the standard shuffle - double action. On ball reversal 3 shuffles off 1's back screen for an open look in the paint. 1 immediately back screens for 5 for the weak side lob pass. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a high low play that starts out with a dribble out to the left wing by 1. 5 back screens for 2 as 4 gets open at the top of the key. On the catch, 4 looks quickly to 5 stepping into the lane. Immediately 4 reverses back to 1 and 5 button hooks back to the left block to catch and score. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a set that has been used effectively by Butler University over the past few seasons. The concept of this play is similar to Americas play, just in this set there is a stagger back screen set for the post as opposed to a simple cross lane screen. This has been a great set for Butler and hopefully you can find it to be effective as well! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Bulls ran this baseline out of bounds play with two seconds left in the first half of their 99-93 game 7 win over Brooklyn. The timing is important on this play. Have 4 set the back screen, then 5 set a backscreen as 4 is pinning down. Boozers man did not protect the basket and Boozer cut to the basket for a dunk. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFirst play Memphis ran in the second half of their game 2 win over OKC. This is a great set play that involves backscreens and cuts to the rim. This puts a lot of pressure on the defense. Although Memphis did not get a great shot attempt, there are multiple opportunities to score on this play. Starting the point guard in the corner allowed a little-big back screen and allows the best passes to feed the best post player isolated on the block. See More
