A drive to the basket or a kickout for a 3 are the main options of this play. You need to have your best ballhandler on the 1 and the best shooter on the 2. Coming off the dribble handoff and attacking the basket forces the defender of 5 to help on the drive. Meanwhile 5 sets a backscreen for the shooter, who flares out to the corner. Only down 2 points, I was somewhat baffled when Westbrook decided not to attempt the game tying lay-up but rather dribble out and take the contested 3-pointer (which resulted in 3 points because of the foul).
