Favorite Send to FastDrawMichigan State also ran this great half-court action Thursday night vs Wisconsin. Tim Izzo does a great job using different motions to get numerous results out of his plays. What I love about this play initially you get the defense so caught up on the backscreen that it makes it even more difficult to guard the stagger. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Maryland Terrapins run a nice Horns Set here with multiple chances to get the ball inside to Alex Len Mark Turgeon's offensive sets are excellent and easy to use See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Maryland Terrapins run their Horns series with a number of different options This is a nice set to free their best shooter off a staggered screen on the wing Gives a nice opportunity for the 3 man to penetrate to the basket once the lane is clear See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLast night after a fierce comeback against the Indian Pacers late in the 4th quarter, the Chicago Bulls' Tom Thibodeau drew up with Sideline Out of Bounds action to get a much needed 3 pointer to tie the game. Unfortunately for the Windy City team, the shot came up short. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFlood is a quick hitter that can produce a jump shot or quick post feed. Flood means that three players will get to one side of the floor; right side, in a quick manner. This will put 2 alone on left side so he can take advantage of 5's hard down screen. Timing and floor positioning are important. This play will yield a quick basket most of the time. Give it a try. Favorite Send to FastDrawA set Fred Hoiberg ran to get a 3 vs Kansas. Hoiberg runs some of the best stuff in all of college basketball. This play is a post split with an easy counter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother set from IA State vs Kansas for 3. A lot of teams run the ball flare action for 3's, but this is a great counter to it. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Lady Blue Devils of Duke run a variety of set plays against M2M and each set provides multiple scoring options They do a very nice job incorporating the post game into their sets to take advantage of the very talented Elzabeth Williams The Lady Blue Devils guards are also very adept at knocking down the 3 pt shot See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIf you are in need of a set play for a timely three then check out Vegas Door. Because most action and cuts off screens are horizontal, this play features a vertical cut up the floor. 4 and 5 are responsible for "closing the door" on the defender to create time for an open three pointer. Favorite Send to FastDrawAs the basketball world is well aware Stephen Curry had a career night last evening at Madison Square Garden vs the Knicks. Mark Jackson called out this Early Offense action to get Curry free for another 3 point attempt. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA good blob from a high school game this week. A natural triple for a shooter that the team scored twice on. The first time they slipped the last screen and the second time they got an open 3 for the player they were setting the triple for. Could also run a single double action out of this or run it against a zone. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith this play your 4 has to set a good screen to occupy his defender, and as soon as cuts off his shoulder, 4 has to dive hard to the rim looking for a layup. As you’re working on this play in practice, make sure you work with your 2 on reading the defense to make the proper decision to end up with an open shot. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe majority of Joe Johnson's clutch shots for the Nets this season have come on the infamous ISO-Joe plays that made Johnson's Atlanta Hawks' teams a bit of an eye sore on offense. To Johnson's credit, he's been remarkably efficient in one-on-one situations late in games this year, and he even hit the game-winner later in this game on an isolation possession. But down three with 6.7 seconds left in the game against the Milwaukee Bucks the other night, P.J. Carlesimo went away from ISO ball and drew up a beautiful elevator screen sequence to get Johnson a wide open look at a three from the top of the key. Unphased by the moment, Johnson executed his cut perfectly and he got good screens from his teammates, allowing him to tie things up and send the game to overtime. Video of this play. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFor this play make sure your 2 man is your best shooter. He has to use a misdirection cutting to the ball side block when 1 passes to 3 to set his defender up for the double stagger. Your 3 and your 2 have to have the right timing of 3 not coming off of the screens early so 3 does not have to throw a cross court pass. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season.
