Favorite Send to FastDrawICE defense is run by alot of NBA teams to guard the Pick & Roll. The Dallas Mavericks run great action vs this defense when attacking early, with the big running to the rim and 2-3 shooters spacing on the weakside for open jump shots to prevent help. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a NBA Golden State Warriors Dribble Hand-Off / Pick and Roll Action from Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference Finals. Steve Kerr is doing an excellent job in getting great motion and action into his set plays for their players. The Golden State Warriors are the team that I want to watch in the NBA Play-offs for my new sets. Steve Kerry has installed a system that is like the NBA San Antonio Spurs in it's movement, flow and creativity. The starters and reserves have bought into this system all season. David Lee is even getting a second chance in these NBA Playoffs. He is seizing the moment too. Stephy Curry and Klay Thompson are indeed the Splash Brothers and either of them can go off for 20 points in a quarter at any moment. Curry is the MVP, but Thompson is likely to go off on any night. They were one of the best teams ever in the regular season, despite the trip up from the always difficult Memphis Grizzlies. I love this action and you will notice that I chose a play where Steph Curry isn't in the game. It's an example of how their reserves have bought in. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was the opening play for the Grizzlies in Game 2 versus the Warriors. There is a lot of moment to this play and it presents multiple options, making it a great play to get your offense started. This play presents two opportunities for Zach Randolph to post up on either block, and really takes advantage of Marc Gasol's ability in hi-lo situations. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 dribble up the floor and passes to 3 cutting up off of a screen from 4. Once 1 has passed the ball, he flares off of 5's screen at the elbow. If 1 isn't open, 3 dribbles left off of a high ball-screen from 5. 5 rolls and 4 replaces 5. If x5 plays the roll, 3 can pass to 4 who looks inside to 5 or 4 can pass to 2 for the post pass inside to 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this horns set play from the Trail Blazers, 4 sets a down-screen for 2 in the corner as 3 moves towards the rim. 1 passes to 2 then cuts off of a back-screen from 5. At the same time this is happening, 4 screens for 3 who cuts to the corner. If neither option is open, 5 steps over to set a ball-screen for 2. 2 looks to turn the corner and score or can give the ball to 1 on a dribble hand-off. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDuke used this play in the first half against Utah. The play starts with Cook dribbling towards the right wing pushing 2 towards the free-throw line. Cook's first look is inside to Okafor posting up. If he isnt' open, Cook looks at 4 popping out after the screen. 4 then dribbles left and gives the ball to Winslow on a dribble hand-off. Winslow stops behind the hand-off and takes the 3-point shot. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawBilly Donovan has coached teams to the peak of college basketball’s mountaintop. Coach Billy Donovan has reached Four Final Fours, two national championships, a perfect 18-0 conference regular season, six Southeastern Conference tournament titles and 16-straight 20-win seasons. He’s made Florida basketball a millennial powerhouse on the national level and he did it all at a football school. Now, he sits on the doorstep of yet another achievement after coaching his 499th victory Wednesday night against Vanderbilt. Coach Billy Donovan runs Ball Screen Motion Offense that moves the ball and gets shot attempts near the basket and the three point line. Coach Donovan goes for #500 wins against Missouri tonight. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of my favorite sets from the 13-14 season, and is a staple of the Trailblazers' offense. Very similar to Rick Carlisle's "Get" series from the championship Mavericks team, this set creates multiple scoring looks for each of the Blazers' offensive weapons, and can be modified to highlight any player within the offense. Below are 3 options within the set: Thumb Up, Thumb Fist, and Thumb Punch. Thumb Up creates catch & shoot opportunities for Matthews and Batum, Thumb Fist puts Aldridge and Lillard in a pick and pop situation, and Thumb Punch creates a post scoring opportunity for Aldridge. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis continuity zone offense incorporates the weakside guard flashing through the lane to get another touch. If your best player is a guard this is a nice way to get him/her an opportunity to make a play with the ball in their hands in the lane against a zone. See More
