Quick Hitter from BCZK Iverson Formation. It works better when 2 is the best shooter in the team, so defense can not cheat and go under 5-2 screen. FMS Blog: Zalgiris Kaunas - ATO/EOG Series See More

Very effective set in Early Offense for a wide open three. The key is a good screen of 5 on 1-5 Step Up PNR, which creates advantage on PNR and forces 4 help on 5 roll to the basket. After that there are 2 on 1 situation on weakside and good Hammer Screen of 4 allows 2 shoot a wide open 3. FMS Blog: Zalgiris Kaunas - ATO/EOG Series See More

Great End of Game set. Here BCZK executes a nice Hammer play when they need a 3pt shot. This play works because when 1 and 5 run the middle pick and roll, x4 has to help on 5 rolling to the basket, which creates a great opportunity to run a hammer screen for 2 on the weak side. ATO from BCZK. In this set, 2 is the best shooter but acts as a decoy. 2 sells coming off 4's pin down screen, but instead sets a back screen so that 4 can get a lob at the rim. x4 will be in a stance ready to help on the shooter and unable to defend against the lob. Diamond set into side ball screen Spain PNR from BCZK. Succesfully running Side Spain PNRs the entire season, this play was deadly for Zalgiris because of the Swing action which forces all five defenders be active in defense the whole 24 seconds of the shot clock. An interesting counter to BCZK's original Iverson Guard Post Series. In this set, instead of receiving the ball in the post, 1 uses 2's pindown screen right into a DHO with 5. This action is extremely difficult for x1 to defend and puts pressure on the entire defense to help out, opening up several options. Blog Breakdown: Zalgiris Kaunas - Iverson Series See More

From Euroleage team Zalgiris Kaunas. Effective play for a point guard who can shoot from coming off screens. Shake action occurs when ball screener continues and sets a screen for a shooter, and ball handler throws back to the shooter after dragging the defense. Toronto Raptors double drag option play. "77" is their call for double drag. "Quick" is the term for single away. 4 and 5 set the double drag. 4 cuts strong side. 5 runs into a single away. The right read on this play was to slip, which Jakob Poeltl did for a lob. See More

The Pelicans will run this effective Horns formation set play to get Anthony Davis the ball near the elbow with the middle of the floor and paint wide open. He can operate to score, or draw a double and kick out to an open shooter. NBA Playoffs - Best XsOs of Round One See More

Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius of Zalgiris Kaunas likes to camouflage Spain PNR action by starting with a diamond set, misleading the defense to believe it's a choice set for a guard. The back screen is set by a good shooter, so if his defender commits to 5's roll, he'll have an open shot. Great play to use in late game situations or for a surprise score.
