As your 5 rolls and your 4 replaces the 4's defender may stay in help defense allowing an open shot for him. If your point guard is not a shooter, you can still run this play by bumping down 3, and not giving him a hand off. With this play make sure you have a passing 4 man. He has to read the defense as 3 cuts towards him for a hand off. If he can read the defense properly, you can get easy lay ups off of the hand off action.
