Favorite Send to FastDrawSet run frequently by the Chicago Bulls for aggressive defense against Jimmy Butler. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a set for an easy post look. The key part that is hard to defend is the curl action into a cross screen. Minnesota actually did a good job of defending it on this possession. However, teams that like to switch would have a hard time guarding this action because it would force the guard to have to match up with the post player. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWhen you have a post player like Robert Carter and a point guard like Melo Trimble, it may sometimes seem like a coach can run anything and it would work. But you have to respect Mark Turgeon’s thinking on this play to put one of his best players in a good position to do what he is best at. This is a good set for any team, especially ones where a team has guards that have a hard time entering the ball into the post. The combination of the ball screen for the guard and the backscreen for big to the same side makes the post entry easy to make. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe inbounder is the most forgettable player in baseline and sideline out of bounds plays. In this set, Notre Dame took advantage of North Carolina by playing small. Knowing that a big man (Isaiah Hicks) was guarding the inbounder, they decided to run a play for the inbounder (Steve Vasturia) off of a stagger screen. This allowed him to get a wide open look. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a nice set coming out of a timeout for the Thunder to get Kevin Durant an open three pointer. While it was not the first option (Ibaka going across the flex screen for an open layup was), they ran the progression and Durant got the look he wanted. This set was also made better because of the solid screen Steven Adams set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe best shooter in the world does not hit a high percentage of shots simply because he’s a great shooter. He also does this because he gets high percentage looks like this one. This play is spaced out well so that it allowed Stephen Curry to run his defender into his own teammates before he went around a staggered screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a great read out of the timeout by Tony Bennett and Malcolm Brogdon. He anticipated the defender going on top of the flex screen instead of under and used the screen instead to get an open three-pointer. This is yet another set to get an easy look for your players off of a read. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWhen you have a few baseline out of bounds plays in a game, why not try to capitalize on them when the defense is vulnerable and score every time? This screen the screener set is a great way to get a player who likes operating around the free throw line space. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play came out of a timeout from South Carolina and shifted the momentum of the game. The key in this set is the ball reversals that make the defense ignore the weak side short corner. One of the most important concepts of attacking a zone defense is ball movement and attacking the gaps, but I’m a firm believer that screening a zone is even more dangerous. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA lot of times off of an Iverson cut the ball simply goes to the wing. Allen Crabbe went off of the last screen and instead of popping out, he went right to the basket. If your team has an Iverson series, this is a good set to run to keep the defense on their toes. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a set that features a lot of movement and but also requires your players to make a read on the re-screen action. Oregon’s Dwayne Benjamin did a great job sliding the pass to the roll man on the re-screen, but he could have also attacked the basket if he wanted to. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis baseline out of bounds set against 2-3 zone has an array of options. The key is to make sure your players are actually screening the defenders in the zone. Middle Tennessee ran through the whole progression on the film but could have easily scored on the first two options. See More
