This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. For this play to be successful you have to have a bigger guard, or a post that can pass from the high post. Your 2 man has to act like he is cutting to the opposite corner and using 5 as a screen. Your 5 has to post hard so he is occupying his defender. You have to make sure that you utilize the weak side flare action so there is no help side defense coming from 4's man when 2 curls. See More

Down four to the #2 ranked Kansas Jayhawks on the road in the Phog with just over four minutes left, Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford called a play for his 5'11" (and that is generous) freshman point guard that was previously 0-for-6 from deep to get a three-point look. Naturally. The Cowboys put the Freshman point guard in a number of screen situations, with the end result being a three-pointer that Forte nailed to bring the Cowboys within one.
