Here is a BLOB from legendary Coach Dean Smith. In the play, 3 starts with the ball under the basket. 5 screens for 4. In the first option, 4 cuts to the wing and 5 turns to the rim. In the 2nd option, 4 cuts to the basket as the defender tries to jump the screen to the wing.

  • 5 turns and screens for 4.

     

    4 cuts toward the corner.

     

    1 moves up the floor as the safety valve.

     

    2 moves up toward the wing once the ball is inbounded

  • 5 turns and screens for 4.

     

    If 4's defender jumps the screen toward the corner, then 4 cuts to the basket.

     

    5 pops out toward the corner.

     

    1 moves up as the safety valve.

     

    2 moves up toward the wing once the ball is inbounded
