Here is a 1-4 high play that Arizona liked to use early in the games this season. The play creates an overload on the left side of the floor to open up a quick lob for the point guard. If the lob isn't open, multiple ball-screens and hand-offs are executed to create scoring options. Arizona used this play a lot towards the end of the season, especially in the Pac-12 and NCAA Tournaments.
1 passes to 3 cutting to the wing off of a screen from 5.
2 clears from the right wing to the ball-side corner.
5 looks to post up his man at the block.
4 sets a back-screen for 1.
3 looks to make the lob pass to 1.
If 1 isn't open, 3 continues to dribble right as 4 sets a ball-screen.
5 moves up towards the free-throw line and 1 moves out to the wing.
3 gives the ball to 1 on a dribble hand-off.
5 follows behind the hand-off to screen for 1.
1 attacks middle as 5 rolls to the basket.
1 can also look at 4 posting up or to 2 sliding to the corner for a shot.
