This is the first drill in the motion offense teaching progression. It teaches players the foundation of motion offense - the basket cut. Important motion offense terms are in bold print.

Line of players with basketballs on right slot
Coach/Player/Manager on left slot
Player passes to coach and makes a hard basket cut leading with near foot
Coach passes to player for layup

Line of players with basketballs on left slot
Coach/Player/Manager on right slot
Player passes to coach and makes a hard basket cut leading with near foot
Coach passes to player for layup

Line of players on left wing with basketballs
Start above the motion line
Coach/Player/Manager on left slot
Player passes to coach, basket cuts and gets return pass for a layup

Line of players on right wing with basketballs
Start above the motion line
Coach/Player/Manager on right slot
Player passes to coach, basket cuts and gets return pass for a layup
