While going thru the game I was really impressed by Michigan’s first offensive play call out of half time, it involved great spacing, driving lanes, and the ball switching sides of the floor. The action forced Detroit to put multiple guys in rotations to protect the rim, guard a handoff, defend the drive, and recover to shooters.
1 enters to top of the key to 5 man. 3 sprints to corner, 2 moves up to wing. 1 moves to ball side corner, 4 starts moving to the other side of the floor.
2 fakes a back door cut and sets a screen for 3 in the corner. 4 continues to other side of the floor and moves to the corner which was vacated by 3. 5 dribbles ball to wing for a dribble handoff with 3.
3 takes dribble handoff and attacks open space. 5 rolls right to rim after handing the ball off. 2 rolls up to the wing after setting the screen for 3.
