This is a BLOB set Doc Rivers liked to utilize when the ball was deeper into the corner than normal. Rivers would frequently run this set for shooters such as Ray Allen and Paul Pierce during his time with the Boston Celtics.
4 and 5 set a fake screen for 3, who then slips to the basket hard.
1st Option: 1 passes to 3 for the lay-up.
If 3 does not get the pass for the lay-up, 4 flashes to the ball from 1, while 3 goes to screen away for 2.
4 will dribble handoff to 1. 1 dribbles to the top of the key area, while also getting a screen from 5 on the wing.
After 4 gives the dribble handoff to 1, 1 dribbles to the top of the key area, while also getting a screen from 5 on the wing.
2 will get a wall of screens from 3, 4 and 5 before receiving a pass from 1 for the shot. 3 curls back to the perimeter after screening for 2 (and could be another option for a shot if 2 is not open).
2nd Option: 1 passes to 2 for the shot.
