- Early reversal to trigger the action.
- Slice cut by the 1 gets a layup or draws the attention of the defense.
- Cross screen from the 1 frees up the 4 for a layup or post touch.
- Down screen frees up the shooter especially if their defender is overhelping on the cross screen.
