In this diagram and embedded video we look at warmup drill. I like the Three Player Weave as a warmup to teach lead passing, goal setting and layup striding. It fits perfectly into some of the habits we want in our transition offense

  • Basketball Play - Three Player Weave Drill

Organization: Three equal lines on the baseline - corner, middle, corner. Balls in middle line.

 

Description: Timed 3:00 with a daily goal. No dribbling, fumbling passes or missed lay-ups allowed. If any of those things happen the next group is in and the current group is off. If a player receives a pass at the FT line or below they should stride out and finish.
