Chino Hills played a high, wide, extended 2-3 zone, looking to trap and run passing lanes. The teams that attacked it the best stayed patient and worked the ball around.
Chino Hills often "laned" the ball, instead of staying in-between the ball and the basket. This funneled all the pentration towards Big O, and allowed the other players to play the passing lanes and hunt for more steals. If a ball handler started dribbling LaMelo, he would often reach for a steal, and if he didn't get it, he would just leak out to the other end.
