In this diagram and embedded video we breakdown the drill we use to emphasize taking charges within our program. We feel it is important that players comfortable taking charges in practice so they have the confidence to do it in a game. The explanation on how to safely take a charge with proper technique can reduce injuries.

All players in a line waiting for their turn. One player passes to the coach to make a drive.The coach will drive baseline from the wing or slot and create the contact. The defense needs to rotate to get outside the paint and take the charge. Every player goes through at least once.
